The plaintiff knows the defendant because they go to the same church and he works with the plaintiff’s ex-wife. The plaintiff says he got arrested on Easter, and when he got home, his ex-wife was moving their belongings out and the defendant happened to be there. The plaintiff says he tried getting some things, but there an altercation ensued with the defendant. He’s suing for lost wages and assault. The defendant says he tried being civil and only got physical when the plaintiff attacked. #JudgeMathis #RealityTV #Court

The judge knows what happened in the other case, and he's not addressing it because the child is a minor. That's why the judge didn't play into his little jokes in the begining. The judge clearly wasn't feeling this man.

This case made my skin crawl why was everyone so scared to ask or mention what this step daughter “lied about” ???What would make a mother get a restraining order and move out house and not kick him out …then left multiple people beat him up.Seems like some church BS forgiving abusers …that man probably was being accused of some sick accusations and the friend knew it and watched. If you sit there and watch your friend being kicked and stomped under the car and do nothing you must know he deserves it .Good job Judge Mathis with this one.I’m glad you didn’t feed into that church act.

How about everybody stop making comments about “what did he do to his stepdaughter? “ Instead of trying to know every piece of pain and misery, if you already have an idea about what happened then just stick to your assumption… clearly he received consequences they may not be what you think they should be but that’s what wrong with the world now- it’s like someone saying “pray for me” but you turn around and say “what am I praying for exactly?” Instead of just wishing them well… we don’t need to know every detail.

I agree with you, but that is the type of environment that was introduced on this channel, from my perspective. When someone "takes away" the over information that is usually given, people become "entitled" in their minds that they are supposed to have vital private information about a minor, forgetting the pain that comes with it.
