I agree with most of your opinions but i believe Snivy should’ve been higher for two reasons, 1. Contrary serperior is decent in competitive, especially with the new stellar terra type and 2 he is a little snek boi. Where is the flaw in my logic?

Let's just be honest. Snivy without Contrary is kinda miserable to use, and that ability wasn't available to them in the games where it's a starter choice. Even the most hardcore Snivy fans of the time knew they were just picking a cool looking Chikorita.

I think I would probably relate most to Void, because the only Pokemon games I technically played are Firered, Pearl, X, Moon, Ultra Moon, Alpha Sapphire, Shield, Shining Pearl, Legends Arceus and Violet. And of those titles, I've only *barely* started playing Shining Pearl, Legends Arceus, and Violet. And I've never seen any Pokemon shows or movies released after Gen 4. So I would be putting most of the gym leaders in the "Who is this?" Tier and most of the games in the "Didn't play" Tier, and a few games in the "Played less than 3 Hours" Tier.

How is that surprising? Back when ORAS came out, the feeling was pretty unanimous that the originals were far better.

@@TravisKerr1 Dang, really? I remember R/S being the first generation where folks seemed somewhat disappointed; Gen 1 was, well, Gen 1. Gen 2 had a fairly expansive endgame with a return to Kanto after going through the new Johto area. Gen 3 had a fairly weak endgame until Emerald (I think it was pretty much one small island town and the Regis for endgame). ORAS felt like it really expanded on everything that R/S did, added in the popular Mega Evolutions, and had a large final act for its endgame.

@@Vrathal Maybe that's what it was like locally for you, but more broadly gen 3 is known as the golden age for a big amount of Pokemon fans, especially those that started at gen 1 as it was released.
