On an unrelated note to the video, I would like to say that I always enjoy the comment section of ChefPK videos. It’s always full of people enthusiastic about cooking. I swear, sometimes I learn just as much about cooking from the comment section as I do from the video. It just so nice to see a community of people passionate about sharing and learning from each other’s experience. I haven’t be doing so great recently, and these videos and comments help me keep my head above water. I’ve even started cooking as a hobby. So, to ChefPK and everyone reading this, thank you for encouraging me to play with my food.

My Dress up Darling is one of weirdest things to happen this year. In a season when we have final season of AoT and stunning "I have budget and I'm not afraid to use it" Demon Slayer s2,a slice of life is the one dominating the charts,and I'm glad it happen
@3darkn1t
@3darkn1t 2 жыл бұрын
AoT feels overhyped and overrated, Demon slayer 2 has great animation and art but for most people who watched S1 and didn't want to wait, we've read the manga as well and it's not really worth the time for us to watch, whereas My Dress up Darling has taken slice of life out of the same old dead plot and gave it something more with better character interactions and development. It's like what konosuba brought to the isekai genre without being as over the top.

@@3darkn1t It's literally just a show about fan service there is hardly any plot to it
@nadrake1983
@nadrake1983 2 жыл бұрын
@@-SP. well i mean that isn't true. Its got as much plot as any other anime really. That being said its really sweet love story and the message of "its ok to love what you love and no one should make fun of you for that" is something that still needs to be said in this day and age.
@-SP.
@-SP. 2 жыл бұрын
@@nadrake1983 "It's got as much plot as any other anime really" My guess is you have only seen a few Anime? Either that or you only watch Anime with fan service. The plot is super basic and is less than 5% of the actual content. Some of the fan service scenes, like when the mc is taking measurements or when the girl is trying to cool down at the convention, go on for over 10 minutes. That's half the episode on just a single fan service scene, and there are usually multiple in every episode.
@nadrake1983
@nadrake1983 2 жыл бұрын
@@-SP. i will say I've read more than watched. The manga for this show is outstanding and yeah they seemed to include all the fan service panels but that will diminish. About the plot... most media can be distilled down to a sentence, but i understand what you mean. Isnt that the point of Slice of Life? the plot is... well life? As i said though i see your point and i think my opinion is altered due to the fact ive read up to the 71st upload of the manga.

Just a suggestion: next time you want to get paper thin slices of meat, do not let it fully defrost but only partially defrost as it'll be much easier to slice it that way. Had to cut meat for steamboat at home a while back and that was what I did. Wasn't pretty as my knife skills were rusty but it worked out.

Couldn't you also use a mandolin in place of a deli slicer if you don't have one?
@3darkn1t
@3darkn1t 2 жыл бұрын
@@BLS31 Nope. For meats in general you want high speed sawing action or long strokes to break the fibres. If i'm cutting out steaks, i'd use a long chef's knife, somewhere between 10-14 inches, and do long strokes from top to bottom to prevent jaggedness which contributes to uneven cooking and poor presentation. A mandolin require the product to be able to hold it's shape as what you're doing is a push down cut from top to bottom, not a slicing motion, making it unsuitable for soft veg, fruits and meats. So things like onions, potatoes and cucumbers, vegetables that you can cut using a push cut work quite well on mandolins.
@shadowtheimpure

With a cut of meat that big, a maguro kiri bōchō or maguro kiri knife would probably make short work of thin slices.

Recommendation for a new video, is to try to make the Vulcano Tonkatsu that Nagatoro makes for Naoto as a bento. Because you can make the tonkatsu really spicy, because of the curry inside it and then let someone eat it en then see their reaction of it.

Right? If Komi-san was best girl of 2021, Marin is best girl 2022, easy. I was so thrilled when I first saw the announcements for both of those getting anime serialization, as I have followed both manga from the start. Unrelated but controversial take, Yokoyari Mengo’s best work is not scum’s wish/kuzu no honkai, but oshi no ko. Also for the upcoming anime season, keep an eye out for kawaii dake ja nai shikimori-san/that girl is not just cute. If you like komi and marin; then springs best new girl will be shikimori. Also aharen-san from aharen is unfathomable.

Since I didn't have corn starch or whatever, I used some buttermilk pancake mix from hungry jax. Worked out awesome and looked the exact same. Also, the sauce at the end got burnt and tar-like due to a minor catastrophe in the next room, but it was still good. Whole thing was dope, but I did two softball and two baseball sized nikumaki and the smaller sizes were easier and tastier because they were more meat to rice. The flavor was INSANE for how simple it was. I used a pack of shaved steak, the paper thin stuff, because it's all I could get that wasn't too thick and I didn't feel like getting my knife out. Worked well.
