If Juki ever feels like you may have too much yarn, teach him to knit. Once he gets into it, he'll understand that there is no such thing as "too much yarn".

Wow thank you for being so open about trying to get pregnant! I feel like talking about this while people are at it happens not so often. It's only after, when they're actually pregnant, that they talk about it. Therefore I think people trying to get pregnant often feel alone or like something's wrong with them when it takes a long time. But in fact a lot of people try it for a very long time. I think you talking about it can be really important for someone in the same situation and help them. I wish you all the best and hope it works soon 😊 Oh, and good luck with your wedding dress 😅

I just hope people would leave the "are you gonna have kids" questions by now as there can be so many so personal things bound to that question that not all wish to share. Thank you for sharing your story and maybe help people see that you don't just pick up a suitable date from calendar for having a child. The rant aside - all the best to your journey to parenthood (for both of you), hopefully you have the family you are hoping for soon. Congratulations for the wedding and house also. 😊

I completely understand your frustration with trying for a baby, I felt like I was going crazy with it because symptoms would come and I'd be like (fingers crossed) and finally after a year and a half we were successful and I'm officially 7 weeks! So don't lose your hope on it. God bless 💜

I turned 33 on the 27th of July. I don’t have kids. And have never wanted them. When I was 30, my husband had a massive stroke. Which was a complete surprise. He’s healthy. (Was and still is). But now he has this brain injury. He walks with a cane, can’t use his right hand, and has something called aphasia which makes it hard for him to talk. (It’s a pretty extreme aphasia). So now I especially don’t want kids. I’m so glad that I never had that desire. But I do hope your journey goes smooth and you can have as many kids as you guys want to have!

Something I have heard from good friends who struggled with fertility issues is that the baby never comes until you relax and let go. It's the wildest thing... I know a couple who were married for 20 years and had adopted 4 children from all over the world, and she got pregnant naturally at age 40, and then again a year after that baby was born 😂. Perhaps some of us are just late bloomers ❤️

Thank you for being so open about your baby plans. I now have a 2 years old daughter and I remember feeling quite lonely while trying to get pregnant and I was so glad I found a few communities online, with others in my same situations. I’m sure that you sharing about your current situation makes someone else feel less lonely and more seen. So thank you 🙏 Looking forward to get some glimpses of your wedding dress! That’s such a great idea ❤️❤️❤️

Dear Kika congratulations on your wedding. I am so happy for you. I had my first child at 32 and my second child at 36. What helped me was learning natural family planning. Don’t think about it and try to take your mind from getting pregnant. It will happen, but natural family planning did work for me. I am 49 years old today and my boys are 15 and 11. :)

Im glad you've been open about pregnancy. I'm 34 and he took me nearly 2 years..homeopathy helped massively so this might be an option for you. Please don't let your age be an issue. It will happen. I never thought it would happen to me but please don't loose hope which boy do I know is easier said than done. You're amazing person if you can or can't get pregnant so please remember that. I'm currently 11 weeks and over the moon. All the fertility issues seem a distant memory. I hear you when you say it's hard. I totally remember that pain. You got this 👍

Congratulations on your wedding! 🥳 Let me remind you: your first baby - The Book - is soon to be born! It is a labour of love ;) and about the pregnacy struggle, I would just like to quote here a special person, Veronika: "Things work out". These are the real words of wisdom! :))) It will work out. And I know it because I've been there. We tried for 1,5 year before I got pregnant with my first baby and nature was still on my side (I was 28). Today I just think, it took so long because I wanted it so much and that brings stress to the whole process. With my second baby it took me about 15 min to get pregnant (sorry, my dear huband to tell the truth 😆) because it was a little bit spontanous and while counting the days of my cycle - I also thought that it was not very possible. Crossing my fingers for you, good luck and greetings from Poland! ❤️

Hi Kika! I had to stop the video and write because you opening up about your wish to get pregnant, compelled me to share my own story. And this is by no means an example, a guide, or even advice. It's just what I went through, just so you know you're not alone, nor are all the other women trying for a child. My daughter was born in November 2021, a month before I turned 43. My husband and I started trying to get pregnant shortly after I turned 40 and optimism quickly turned into fear and despair. We went through countless (painful) tests and treatments, IUI, IVF a miscarriage at 8 weeks, and a chemical pregnancy. In the end, the conception was unaided (again - not an example, just what happened). The thing is, now it all seems irrelevant, but it was painful, horrible, and terrifying. ? The worst thing anyone could do at the time was to ask about us having kids. Or give unsolicited advice. It just doesn't help when you're heartbroken over yet another negative pregnancy test. Anyone trying for a child will have to find their own way and adjust to their own circumstances (I know this is not very helpful!), but we're not alone. There are many of us who didn't have an "easy" road to motherhood. I wish you all the best and I hope you and Juki will have the family you desire. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
@malloryg4251

Thank you for making such a thoughtful comment. I don't ask people about whether or not they're having kids, unless they bring it up first, because it is a very sensitive topic for a lot of people. I also appreciate the fact that you mentioned that you're not trying to offer advice. It drives me crazy when people say- oh, it took me this amount of time to have a baby, so don't worry, it will happen for you, just wait it out! The thing is, not everyone is meant to conceive, as devastating as that reality is. My husband and I are going to start trying soon (I'm 37) and a part of me is terrified of not being able to conceive naturally (unnatural options are not something we are willing to consider). I guess what I'm saying is, I wish women were allowed to not have children for whatever reason, and people would support that decision just as much as when we do have children. Our worth is not tied to our ability to have kids and every woman should know that! Anyway, congrats on having a healthy child and I wish you all the best : )

I get the knitting passion. My passion is gardening and I worked it as well. Never got bored. In fact on my way home from the garden centre, I'd stop at other garden centres just to see what they have! Then go home and play in my garden. But in winter I crochet and keep house plants. But you don’t have to do it for the rest of your life. I find we discover something interesting and try it out, and go with the flow. Life is dynamic and must we be. Like Abraham Hicks says "make some pies and taste them!"

Oh honey, I was in your boat with infertility years ago. I told people we were trying before we knew we would have difficulty with it. Maybe you will get pregnant soon, and I really hope so, but you probably have already started getting the "advice" that we got about "Oh we had trouble too, but then we just relaxed and gave it to God and boom" or "If you follow this special diet, you'll be pregnant in no time" or "we gave up and decided to adopt and boom". It's unreal how insensitive and thoughtless people can be though they are trying to be helpful. We discovered that I had a condition that made pregnancy almost impossible and we ended up adopting. We adore our kids and would not have it any other way, but I do still remember the crying myself to sleep at night and the stress it put on our marriage when we were still trying. I soooo hope you are successful soon and please know that you are not alone in this experience. You are strong and resilient and no matter the ultimate outcome, you will persevere.

Congratulations on you wedding coming up, I'm your age too and going through about similar things. Just recently got married, one thing that everybody kept telling me before the wedding was, things will come up planning your wedding but don't worry too much about them, at the end of the day you will only remember the commitment you've made, it was so true. I'm so excited for you guys, things will come at the right time. One more thing, I'm so excited to see your dress, enjoy! 🌸👰🏼

The best part of studying for an arts career is that it keeps one's mind limber. It doesn't matter if you go into the career. Just the study keeps you in the right side, creative side of your brain and helps one to see the possibilities. I studied Graphic Design in college. After 2 years I changed my major to Fine Arts. I don't do either for a living, aside from the occasional commissioned work, but I still value my years of study which started as a child who loved drawing and coloring.

Just stumbled on your channel and been binge watching a bit.lol I’m in my 50s and created my family through adoption (I don’t encourage nor discourage as it is a very complex and personal decision ) but just wanted to share a different perspective from “it will happen to you too” - which it definitely “may” as many unresolved infertility issues eventually resolve themselves (or with aid…ie IVF, etc) - because it never did happen to me and I wish these conversations were being had when I was in my 20s and 30s and that is: learn to live a life and plan for a future that includes both possibilities (having and not having)….hold them both in your brain and heart and know that you can have a fulfilling life regardless of outcome. Many hugs and fervent wishes that life grants your wishes! ❤

I get this thing about not pursuing something you've invested so much into... I studied Chinese as a major, then became a diplomat, then ditched it and moved countries to start everything anew, learnt 3 more languages fluently and now work as a part-time technical translator while still wanting to have a little company dedicated to making clothes... I am ADHD/neurodivergent, and non-linearity/new beginnings seem to be an ADHD trait. wouldn't surprise me in your case caus it often correlates with a high level of creativity! and having many ideas at a time :)

I also understand your frustration. I didn't get married until I was 37 because it took me that long to find my knight in shining armor! It took us a little while to get pregnant, but I was blessed with a wonderful baby girl 3 months before I turned 40 (I had always prayed to have a family by the time I was 40!). As King David said in Psalm 139 "you knit me together in my mother's womb". Now that my daughter is 21, I can see now why she came at just the right time, not too soon, not too late. She got married last November to a wonderful young man we are proud to call our son-in-law :) From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. Acts 17:26

Lots of love to you with your fertility challenges. It’s so, so hard - and yes, you’re right - it’s often only afterwards that we find out how many people have struggled to get pregnant or bring their babies home. I was trying to sort out periods for a year, trying to ovulate for a year, then actively trying for a year with a private donor (2 women family here!) then after a fertility full check up they discovered a couple of issues that led to me going to ivf. We now have 4 year old twins. Thinking of you and there is SO much support available in the TTC community (trying to conceive) if that is helpful to you. Sending love! Your baby will come ❤️

Woow knitting your own wedding dress sounds difficult but so fun and meaningful🤩 I totally get your sentiment about trying... I'm also 34 and had my daughter last year; we did tried for months before it happened, and now our lives feel so...plentiful...it's the most amazing feeling to see her grow🥰. But if you're doubtful it may be good to go to a doctor; I have lots of friends our age that had to start treatments, happily none of them required IVF; they got pregnant just with some pills, changes in nutrition, etc. Others had miscarriages and then were able to have a succesful pregnancy! 🤞 I commend you for sharing this bc it's so personal but so many of us go through that.

The environment was too toxic, but I loved what I was doing which was working with animals. I have decided to pursue my dream and study Veterinary Physiotherapy. However, I am going to be jobless next month. But, I have studied 3D animation and this is my final year and my goal is to create 3D Animated Veterinary videos and to just create and to enjoy what I studied for a bit. I am very nervous about this big move. But, your words were very comforting. Thank you.

I will give you a little tip and my personal experience of making babies. I had my first child when I was 40 and learned to relax and not get up out of bed after the act. Just stay in bed all night and do not get up!! I hope that helps you. I have just subscribed and looking forward to more videos, congratulations!

Have a great wedding.. wish you the best. As far as choosing what you want to do for the rest of your life... I'm 68 now. I found my life has been a series of.. tried that, but it's not for me.... tried something else... great hobby, but not something I want to do every day. I'm still learning and trying new things. . That is my passion.. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up. May you continue to search for new things .. change is great. All the best to you

This video made me smile so much. I think it’s so wonderful when people choose to be vulnerable. Of course, people should do what works for them!! I always appreciate openness like this though! It made me so happy to see you and your partner happy and to know more about your life together. After years of following, of course people would want to know more about you as a person. 💗 One of my best friends just finished her masters in dance and is very much feeling in limbo right now as she looks for a job. I think covid really reduced hiring! I’m sure there are so many feelings that go along with these changes! As for the baby, hang in there. Even just deciding to try to have a baby is such a vulnerable and personal thing. Every step after feels similar! Every development, new thought, etc. is so new and very raw. I am wishing you both well for the rest of your journey. 💗 My husband always made jokes about “practicing” as well. 🤣😅 - Alexandra

What a great Q&A. I think you are so precious an exude sunshine in every episode. It was so fun to see Juki. The two of you make a wonderful pair. I’m very happy for you both as you look forward to your upcoming wedding. I look with great anticipation as you make your wedding dress. If anyone can do it, you can. Enjoy each moment.

You are such a great inspiration! Especially the last thing you talked about helped me so much. I love knitting, crocheting and sewing and just doing all these amazing creative things while I play two instruments and started ballet this year and I catch myself so often while thinking about what to do with my life ( I am 15 ) and asking myself a lot of „ what if…“ questions. I sometimes feel under pressure because of the bunch of amazing ideas I have for me and my life and all the directions I want to take. It´ s kind of the other way around, because I did dancing for some years, but never really professional and now I feel this need and strong wanting to just start it to do professional while I don ´ t want to give up all the other things I am doing. I do overthink this all the time and imagine how it would have been, if I started to dance professional earlier. There are always those people who say that you are too old or can ´ t do what you dream of, which makes me very sad. And then I see those people at my age who have already decided yet to become a professional dancer, who started dancing at the age if just 2 years and are now doing these in such a perfect way. Then I imagine how it would be if I was so good at dancing and I feel quite unspecial, because I haven ´ t got those skills ( at the moment). Also thinking of having to less time in life for doing everything you want is so frustrating. It just feels so relatable what you said and really pushes me forward. I just try not to give up and think positive, because I can ´ t change the past and past decissions.I won ´ t let people tell me I can ´ t reach my dreams and goals, because actually I can, if I want to.
