Hello and welcome to a knitting vlog where I take you behind the scenes of working on my knitting book, and also knit a summer top! I also try to get my sister into knitting, with various degrees of success... :D

Hi Kika, huge fan of the channel. I hope when the book comes out you release a companion series for the book on your channel, kinda like Claire Saffitz did with her book Dessert Person. Just to kinda get tips and tricks on how to tackle some of your patterns and intricate stitches that may come up from your favourite pieces (just an idea). Can't wait for more knitting vlogs, they're my favourite.

I love your book! Thank you. My first knit will be the sweater you are wearing in this video though I don't have a stash of scrap yarn--I'll have to buy some specifically for that. It's Feb and I came across your "knit-along"; I would love to join in but I have too many projects waiting in line. So true, your comments about mental health! Kudos to you for supporting this issue and bringing it into the open. I know several people who have struggled in the past with mental health (I think more then we admit to acknowledge have) and deserve to be heard and supported. So look forward to your book!

Hello from The Netherlands! I really enjoy your videos, Kika, and love your colourful sweater and scarf, and the vest. I wish I had you to teach me how to knit! Every time I go to my yarn store I ask about a hundred questions... Now I've been Googling trying to find out how to knit a neckline that's slightly more open than a crew neck, but can't really find anything. Good luck finishing up the work on your book!

I love the top you knitted and are modelling. I'm not a very advanced knitter, but find it fun. Love the cotton yarn. I'd like to knit with plant based yarns, as much as possible, so I appreciate you showing the brand, etc. I'd like to make a sweater, or a tee shirt style top. If you know of patterns that would be good with cotton, or linen.. or other plant based yarn, I'd be interested in trying them out. I prefer a set in sleeve, to a dolman sleeve. Trying to find a pattern to fit my needs. Thanks for all you show us.

You are so talented!! That vest is really beautiful, I can't wait for the tutorial to make one too. In your video you mentioned that you are sensitive to itchie yarn, which is my biggest problem...im a knitter and I can't wear wool or even mohair. I'd love to know which yarns you could recommend other than merino and what could I use instead of mohair. ❤️

Love your channel and knitwear! Its very motivating for me. Please explain about knitting in school traumatized your sister? Did they teach knitting in school? That is so awesome! Do schools still teach knitting? To all or just girls? They don’t do that here in the US. There has been a sad decline of teaching domestic arts here.

Omg first?? Also I do have a question if you have the chance to maybe answer,, do you/have you ever tried crochet? Because as I have recently been getting into knitting, I have also found crochet seems to be really interesting and I was looking for your opinion on it maybe?
