My God, what a gorgeous dancing of that show piece! Maybe all stage folks should study ballet for decades! No, I don't want to diss those wonderful Broadway actors. I must say, though, Nureyev's body being his instrument, I've never seen a number like this so expertly performed. Every muscle in his body, every move, amazing!!

He loved cinema, he even played in a few movies like "Valentino" but not very good. His only good movies were the ones based on his ballets like "Don Quixote" or "Giselle".

Such a rare chance to see Julie dancing to Shall We Dance from the King and I...and ofcourse she dances so gracefully 😍 Rudolf and Julie were very good friends since the early 60s...wish they had danced more together.

I never knew rudolph danced with julie andrews! Awkward but interesting. I'm so glad they got a standing ovation. I think it was in appreciation of Rudy doing this style & his charisma.

Why awkward..Julie and Rudolf were very good friends irl and Julie is actually simply dressed so that she does not overshadow her guests; however, failing miserably 😜... Rudolf was very good tho ♥

This was a good one, but his best one was when he was on the Muppet Show. He loved Miss Piggy. The dance Swine Lake was hysterical. His diet with Miss Piggy of Baby Its Cold Outside was a joy to watch and his tap rendition of Putting on my Top Hat He had comedic timing as well as dramatic flare. Saw him dance in a viginet show in 77 or 78. He was beautiful.

I always manage to stay cold before this kind of thing but I admit, Rudolf is the hottest man I've ever watched... but he wouldn't make me scream, I'm too proud for that.
