“Accept yourself fully but still have the ambition to grow.” That hit me hard. I’m always trying to evolve but it’s turned into constant self criticism. Anxiety, low self esteem. I started to question why I even went down this road. That statement cut through everything.

@@Nisowyd thanx. So there's a girl in the office I work at seems like she's getting impatient with me . Yesterday she's literally throwing her self at me without saying a word . Her gay friend even said a comment so I can hear " how can't he not know ur trying, he has to Kno " she literally sat next to me and did everything possible to grab my attention but I refuse to say hi or start a conversation. If she really wants to meet me it will happen naturally or she needs to start the conversation..

@@tylerscots1329 That’s great, just know that if you like her and want her, you will have to act sometime. Eventually, that will stop and someone else will have caught her attention. I know this because I actually made this mistake. Once she’s done trying. It’s over with.

I think many people in these comments are missing the point. I believe what they are saying is to work on yourself first and be enough in your eyes. Then you still try to talk to someone but you are not coming from “the needy vibe” but from confidence. The main point is knowing you have value and are worthy to be wanted. And that's how you attract. They even explained it's not that you act like you don't want someone or ‘act cool’ it's about being okay with rejection too. I am a female but their advice can work for anyone. I find this to be much more valuable than other people's advice on how to be a certain way to attract someone. Because it focuses on the other person only but that's manipulative. And we can only better ourselves to become more authentic to who we are. Rather than shaping ourselves or molding ourselves to who others think we should be. Becoming fit, healthy, emotionally, and physically is accepted by everyone for being an attractive person. We are not only doing it for them though it's mainly for us. But at the end of the day not having confidence and not believing in yourself will still make you unattractive. And this is what I think they are saying here. It's about the vibe or energy you give out more than your physical attribute and this is for keeping a long-term relationship.

One of the takeaways for me from this video: Being and improving yourself is the real attraction. Attraction comes by (and grows with the value of) your inner-self and not by pursuing it. It is like a branch connected to a tree. The bigger the tree (=your inner self) the bigger the branch(es) are (=your attractions and connections that you make). Thank you!

I can definitely relate to a lot of things in there. I've been in a relationship where by all standards i had the most value (Better health, more money, more friends, she had some mental issue i don't..) but I was constantly searching for her validation, doing everything in my power to make her feel loved and cherished. Well turns out she got bored of me and decided to leave. In retrospective she lost a LOT MORE than me with this decision, but I was the one who got hurt. Turns out after dating some unemployed abusive pricks she regretted her decision and wanted me back (like 8-9 month after she had break up with me). Sadly for her I had moved on. And I'm truly sorry about how I acted because i deprived us both of something that could have been great. I'm glad i found this video, because now I see clearly what i did wrong so i can hopefully work on that and avoid a similar outcome in the futur.

Maybe best social content I've ever seen in one video. Totally simplies everything I've found to be richly true in my own journey of self-discovery & social mastery. Your relationship to yourself is paramount to the "frame" of your life. But "frame" is a poor word. I prefer "window" because people can see into your life & heart in a way that is unique & intriguing. That is essentially attraction. It brings value by not lauding it over others but by understanding the necessity of embracing the depths of oneself to expressed itself in calibration to one's sincere appreciation for the miracle of one's life & the miracle of other's lives.

I took many months focusing on it, meditating, exercising, and really asking high level questions and between all that have lowered my anxiety probably by half i'd say. I can be genuine with strangers and feel confident to approach others and be me! Feels amazing, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. The point of 'don't pursuit, attract' being a frame rather than an excuse to stay in apathy really resonated. I can't even comprehend the power that comes from taking all the action in the world, creating opportunities but not needing any result to make you feel better at the first place, cause result dependence is something that I recognize has hurt and continuous to hurt a lot of my interactions. The TV example is a great totem-like reminder of the right state to be in while approaching ! And Owen jumped in perfectly there, you can tell RAS is probably one of his favorite words :D And then from the 20 minute mark onwards, man this was so relatable !! I have the awareness ability to recognize that my high ambitions and goals make me feel smaller and smaller the more I work for them, the more I think of them, the more I remind myself of my ideal self... and in a weird way my goals hurt my self esteem... - to the point of driving me to paralysis mode sometimes - while people I know who might be in a derp kinda state but are really in alignment with that, they don't care for their mind, their body, their career, their legacy that much... they have far greater results. And I do get the occasional satori moments where I can see that I operate in the wrong paradigm, that this is a never ending circle of attaching your value to the results of your work ( the having or doing paradigm as you beautifully explain ), but I do confess I still struggle to maintain a constant awareness of this concept. Thank you Julien, my life has really changed since I discovered you and Owen !
@nektariosts1
@nektariosts1 2 жыл бұрын
Oh, and a concept that I really resonate with and I think is implied here, is the 'borrow some abundance from your future" one... in the sense of if you actually have big goals and a legacy or purpose you care for, if you are doing your absolute best, if you are actually operating from the point of view of your ideal self, then you are "allowed" to bridge that gap of 'self esteem', because essentially there is no gap. If you are approaching life from the lense of your ideal self, then essentially you have become your ideal self in this moment, its just the physical manifestations ( money, possessions, perhaps fame and relationships etc that take time to manifest ) that's missing... So if you're doing all you can, you are already there from a 'being'' perspective, you just cannot see the having and doing in the now and you get caught up in that...

I like this frame. Much better than being a needy weirdo. But an even better frame than being chill and just sitting back and attracting is assuming that you have higher value than the person you are meeting and acting with a level of entitlement that you would have as the higher value person. Just being chill and attracting will only get you so far with women and in life and general. You have to take the lead, dominate, and close. That goes for sales too. You can't overcome objectives by just "attracting". You have to have a dominant frame.

Dominance only works with people who believe you have some form of leverage on them. They have to GIVE you control in order to be dominant. Which means you gotta give off the vibe you're trustworthy.

In the area I’m from in the same county as Silicon Valley I would go into where billionaire types would hangout . A local venue and I’m a simple country boy who was real and brought fun, carefree, and passion and people were inviting me to their tables and buying me drink. I wore my boots and jeans. People would wear tuxedos to impress. Just On yourself. Let your realness shine.

A memorable moment and VERY helpful tip from here was to BE the person who is in a state of BEING as opposed to DOING With that said I feel my life long journey has been trying to figure out what that flow of BEING feels like. It can be a bit confusing and discouraging because somedays I am VERY energetic and vibeeeyyy and pure happiness and then other days I’m not so much and am just leveled. I am having a tough time knowing who’s the true me or is it okay to wax and wain? It can be confusing for me esp when presenting myself in social situations like the ones you guys spoke of in the video🙃

I think I use the tactics you teach people not to use to keep people at arms length. When they loose interest in me, it’s like “whew!- ok I’m off their radar” I’m really not attracted to anyone, And I wouldn’t necessarily be willing to do this much work or mental gymnastics if I was. 🥴 I have ample confidence and am a clean, level-headed, peace-loving person.. but I find interacting with people very draining. Bringing them into my world?- that is a very big thing and has to be decided wisely.

Hey, you guys are good. My problem is that I need to invest in other people to feel good as the person who Iam, they leave me bc they think I have no value anymore. I fucked up many good friendships that way. Anyway those people improved in being there selves. I thought this through a couple of times and can not find a way keeping the friendship alive without "being the buyer" I don't like being the buyer. Most friendships die bc of me cutting the connection bc of me hating the development. I wish they would invest in me the same I do invest in them. Maybe you have a tip for me.

What's the proper way in a conversation to respond when someone tells you a story? I will listen intently and then respond with questions and then tell a story that is similar or based on the same topic. But one person gives me the vibe that I'm into myself, when I tell them a similar story, it's not one upping at all. So I'm confused. I get the feeling I'm just not allowed to participate in the conversation and should just always be listening. They also seem almost disgusted if I feel comfortable in my own skin or confident. It's something I've struggled with for a long time I was quiet and timid. But I've grown a lot and they don't seem happy about it.

Build a healthy relationship from begin. Not build capital in relationship. So many obsess women build capital in the first place because they dont care with relationship actually, but many men attracted with obsess women. Love yourself first before you love others.

Paralysis by analysis. Y’all need to simply talk to women like they’re humans instead of figuring out the best game scenario. This isn’t akin to a sales transaction, trying to draw parallels between the two is silly in my opinion. “Over-investing” and opportunity costs only matter if you’re clearly being friend zoned. Lasting relationships require a bit of faith. Be transparent about how you feel, it’s so much easier than y’all are making it.
