The Omoda C5 GT looks amazing and comes with a host of tech, it's priced well and is super comfortable to drive. But are the quirks going to be a deal breaker for you? I list a few that would be for me, but overall, it is an excellent product and great value for money. You're getting a lot of car for your money with this flagship model.

The chinese car manufacturers start using Rose gold / bronze colours more for interior features like door opening handles, air vent grill frames, etc. Looking good on Tan / beige / wood inlays.

My fear with all these cars is the safety systems guiding me into a pedestrian or pothole cause I swerved to avoid and it decided I must assist this man in keep the lanes here. Tiggo 7 pro max Exec. is 559 000 and it's bigger. Chinese car brands confuse me.

The issue with consumers is that they are still willing to buy cars at these ridiculous years. I can understand especially since SA doesn’t have reliable and safe transport system like Europe. But at the same time, by buying cars at these ridiculous prices, we are encouraging car manufacturers to continue increasing their prices.

I agree, get a car that does not irritate you!! Most modern SUV's have too much irritating tech!! Solution, buy a Toyota Fortuner that has just what you need with no irritating tech!

It's expensive for a new brand that has no reputation at all. Just because these chinese cars are cheaper than german brands don't mean they are actually affordable, in fact they are still pricey. Because let's face it, the german brands have become EXTREMELY expensive. This car should've been around R460K. Resale value is what should make a car expensive, not big screens, apple carplay or android auto.
