She was so beautiful and "fresh-faced" she made the crumbled-mess of a dress look elegant and stately. She had real warmth and innocence. It's such a tragedy that we lost her at such a young age. I'm glad for this video that captures the magic of that day. We love her still.

sabree73, Yes. On 31st August 1997, Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris, France. Maycee is remembering the people's princess of Wales, that is Princess Diana herself. Maycee thinks of Princess Diana so much. When Maycee goes to sleep every night, she dreams of Princess Diana.

I remember that moment when she stepped out. My mouth was agape and I knew right then and there I couldn’t wait to be like her when I got married! I was only 10 at the time and was so excited! I remember my mom lol at my enthusiasm. Lots of eye rolls from her that day 😁

I was such a hippie back in 1981, could not care less about this, but when she died, I did cry. She was working to help child victims of land mines, a controversial issue then and now. Diana had a real heart.

Just wow Diana truly was the most beautiful royal bride, she was breathtaking and even managed to pull of that over the top dress effortlessly. Sad to think at the end Diana called this one of the worst days of her life. When she said I do, she signed her early death certificate.

jen M - I also think she was being dramatic when she later recalled that day. Of course later she’d say that, because she was divorced. But during it all she was happy. Diana didn’t hide her emotions at all, and you can clearly see she was overjoyed while in the moment.

And to think that Charles had no intention of honoring his vows or his marriage. He was already in a full affair with Camilla and planned to continue it. None of them cared about Diana at all - just put her in an impossible situation and never gave her any support. Then blamed her when she got upset about his affair and the sham they enticed her into under false pretenses. Such a shame. But she rose above it and became the symbol of grace and dignity despite the mistreatment she received by that family. I'm glad we have a new chapter in the royal family with William and Harry who will restore some honor to the monarchy. I wish the queen, Phillip, Charles and Camilla could just fade into the sunset and we could start anew with the new generation.

I’ve only loved Diana Princess of Wales because Mummy is like her helping others get better and comforted me throughout 2020. Mummy was 2 when the wedding was going on and turned 18 2 weeks before Diana died. Mummy is now 42
