would love to join your group but when I try and create an account and click on 'agree to terms' the button doesn't do anything. Love your videos. I've been doing carnivore for 2 weeks ...metabolic syndrome since childnhood, hashimotos elevated ferritin levels so naturopath suggests I stay off meat but concentrate on fish eggs chicken etc. I'm 68 and need to lose 80 pounds, but I'm focusing primarily on getting better. 3 years of keto nothing budged. Wish I knew about this years ago.

I did it for overall health but I told my wife to try it for some arthritis pains and it helped her so much she kept on it and now has lost weight and is feeling great!!

I started Carnivore (2nd attempt) on the 20th May, hitting 5 weeks this monday coming. I've lost 11kg. I've made the exception to have dairy (lactose free milk) in my coffee. I think what i am doing is fine, until i ate sour cream 2 nights in a row, and on both nights my anxiety peaked, i couldn't sleep, and the nausea. Even though i haven't had sourcream since I started my new way of living, the sour cream has permanently found it's way in the bin. Laura, if you do happen read my comment, there is one RECIPE i would like (i can't find it)... it was the mayonnaise, chicken, cheese and gherkin mix. I can't remember the ratio. Thank you for your time on KZfaq. Your videos has helped kicked me into gear, lose weight, and self correct some of the 'hidden' health issues. Coeliac disease damaged my small intestine (and haemorrhoid at 9 o'clock had been a pain). Oh, and the back passage has finally returned back to normal. My hernia no longer makes me look 6mths pregnant (and to the touch, isn't painful). My health has improved 10x more since I started. I couldn't be more happier. I wouldn't have started this journey if it I didn't see your channel. Thank you for all your posts, vids, blogs and smiles. Tamsyn 🌼

I just wanted to share that one thing , that has been helpful for me is, when I saw you and ketogenic woman having two or three carnivore items on your plate at a time. Although, I can eat a steak or hamburger patties alone often, I do like adding shrimp to my steak or having hard boiled eggs with my pork belly bites etc. It has helped me stay on track. 😊

Carnivore for four months, been strict but today I just wanted a deli ham in a cheese wrap something cool. I got so frustrated because I could not find any deli ham without sugar, finally gave up. 😡😡 So stressed yesterday I actually drank a diet coke which I haven’t had at all, just jumped into the fire and quit everything! I have to be a complete abstainer.

Be more gentle and kind to yourself...🤗 It's ok to give in to a craving now & then. Live a Little! 🎉 You will probably find that those things you crave don't give you the satisfaction you expected... So, it s really easy to get back on track and the cravings become less & less of an issue... Life is meant to be enjoyed! The more we eat Carnivore, the better we will feel and the more we enjoy life again! It's given me my Life back! Less pain and fatigue, more Energy and Vitality! Comes from better sleep and more outdoor FUN for the all important Vit D3/K2 for optimal health! 👍🏻

I found you almost a month ago and you encouraged me to start carnivore and intermittent fasting. I feel like I have finally found something that is sustainable. I’ve never been on a “diet” that I feel full, satisfied and have no cravings. Thank you!!

A quick way to calculate protein grams is 6g protein for each ounce of “meat” weight. My goal weight is 120lb so I need 120g protein. I should eat 120g protein or 20 ounces of meat etc, 120/6=20. An egg counts as 6g protein. So my guideline is 1 lb meat, fish, chicken, and 4 eggs, 16oz +4=20. I know cut and types of flesh-based foods vary. Fish is often higher than 6g per oz and fatty meats can be lower, but the using 6g per ounce weight is simple. If you’re hungry, eat more or add fat on the side or in preparation. A meat-based diet is about health and letting go of the crazy. God bless.

@@marywiggins7411 this would be a good question for Dr Berry, Chaffee …. I have heard this was debunked, but I don’t have any reference. In her weight loss period, Laura’s videos show she was only eating OMAD and her meals were over 30g. Her husband still only eats OMAD. I would question this along 30g max as other SAD recommendations. God bless

Hi Deb, Thank you for the clarification. I'm 66yo, 5'6" and weigh 160+ give or take a few ounces. My goal would ideally be 130lbs. So, I would have to consume 130g (1 pound?) protein per day? Don't know if I can eat that much but I do appreciate the words of advice. ❤🙏

@@CydPiper Anytime. I like cheats. Also, please don’t be afraid to enjoy canned fish or protein powders. No, I’m not saying keto chow. I also struggle a bit with getting enough protein, but I enjoy PE Science for the whey casein blend. I also use whey protein. We have much less choice in Canada. I add them to yogurt as either a smoothie bowl or as shake when I add more water. In time, I will get there with just whole food, but this gets me over the hump.

I always knew cucumbers made me burpy... I made a taco salad WITH lettuce and I was so even worse than the cucumbers. I was laughing the whole next day thinking... Laura told you so lol!

Hi, I did a carnivore challenge with low carb revaluation. I loved it so much that i haven't gone back to ketovore, found out foods like salads veggies cheese all effect me negatively.. i also lost weight and feel so much better...❤

I’m in‼️I’ll take that challenge because yesterday I had a cheat day again gained back 4lbs and I’ve been in a plateau but also I went to the doctors for a physical so I’m starting back today ! I was bloated, joint pains came back and I felt great before I cheated so I done with carbs ! So I weighed in today at 286lbs so I accepted the challenge ! 😊🤙🤙🤙 Aloha from Texas

I'm going to go for it. I've been having some weird inflammatory responses in my body from alcohol and sugar. Plus, summer is the time where good quality meat is on sale. Time to stock up the freezer.

I have been eating more dairy and colder gray area foods in the heat, but my allergies started getting bad again so I buckled back down on Tuesday with no dairy again. I look forward to keeping up beast mode with you through July. =]

One of the highlights of our many trips to Spain is the Chuleta… If you can get an aged cow steak served over the open fire you were talking about in the restaurant, that’s my absolute favorite. There’s a few places in upstate New York where they serve meat from cows well over 10 or 15 years old and there’s definitely a distinct flavor that is amazing to me. A lot of the ones in Spain come from Poland I believe.

I have cut down on bacon after I learned that it would have a detrimental impact on omega 3 to omega 6 desired ratio. I am lucky to have access to a local supplier of organic sugar free bacon. For a while I had to make my own.

If you want to learn how to make cheese; Kate at Venison for Dinner here on YT has some great tutorials. There is also a really great book, The Art of Natural Cheese making by David Asher that is really easy to follow along. You just need a heavy bottom stainless steel stock pot and you can fab a cheese press pretty easy. We are not currently milking our cows right now but, I would love to try it too. I have only done mozzarella and ricotta which are pretty easy.

I really like doing fred hans slow burn method for building muscle. Carnivore Doctor has had a couple videos about it. I lift at home with what ever i have available. Only takes me 30-45 min once aweek. I did it consistently for 8 months until I got pregnant in November of last year and I was experiencing low blood pressure symptoms and I had to stop. Before I got pregnant whenever I was feeling tired and I didn't want to work out I would tell myself I'm just going to do The first workout which is push-ups and it only takes a minute and a half until muscle failure. I would be able to keep going with the whole exercise because I would just do a little bit at a time realized it wasn't so bad. Longest i was able to stay consistent with a workout schedule

If you got the sample pack, try the Chocolate Salt! Mix it in a little water first (didn’t need to do it for the others), then add ice and water. So good, especially if you miss chocolate! Good luck!

Don’t knock the sardines till you try it, I thought the same as you but I’ve been stuck not losing weight and still got 40-50lbs to lose. Tried sardines, WITH mayo and boiled eggs and still got amazing results. Did it for 3 weeks 3 days a week, 10 lbs down, haven’t done it this week, the weight loss is sustained, next week is vacation and then I’m planning to do this for the rest of the summer Monday lunch through Thursday lunch and hopefully this will be the breakthrough I needed. Unlike you I don’t hate them, I actually like them and it’s so simple and easy. Dr. Boz has multiple videos showing data how it brings ketones up specifically in people with severe insulin resistance who couldn’t get ketones up to save their life. Also I have tried BBBE multiple times and I’m carnivore but the scale wouldn’t budge for years. Only sardines made it budge. It’s a great hack and it works for whatever reason.

Why would you use mayo?? Are you talking about regular store bought mayo or homemade butter mayo? Huge difference! Lots of ppl can not tolerate seed oils.

I’ve been looking for a carnivore challenge starting in July. I went carnivore in January, 2023 for 5 months with many health benefits following. But I let all the carbs and sweets back in on a family vacation to France in June. Have not gotten back on carnivore since then and have gained back 20 pounds, have pain in my joints, digestive problems, etc. So thank you for this. I plan to start on Monday with you and whoever else is doing this!

Omgosh I thought if I was in ketosis I would be losing weight?! I just started a sardine thing just now while watching you lol and I hate it And I didn’t know they have arsenic ! I’m stopping now. Just have been in a panic that I’ve lost 19 pounds the past 10 weeks and now it’s paused ! I love meat and carnivore with some butter -lamb chops, steaks and eggs and a few pickles I love

Hi. Don’t worry, that’s completely normal. The body hates big change and loves being in balance, so most people have weight loss plateaus because the body pumps out cortisol to stop weight loss for a bit while it adjusts - this can last between two weeks to two months, but it doesn’t mean that your health isn’t still improving. Even if your weight stays the same for a while, your blood sugars should be falling, your kidney and liver function should be improving, etc. Keep with it and good luck!

As I really don’t want to do all sardines or all eggs etc. I think due the the stall I have cut down my calories to like 950 and protein to about 70g to lose more weight and now thinking ok I will eat just sardines for 2 days, then eggs for 2 days and then water for2 days. After listening here I’m like oh wait my metabolism could be dropping,and I don’t want arsenic and I don’t want to feel yuck for 6 days. I love steaks and lamb so much !!

@@crowley_crazy8832 It's not for me. I have been on oral corticosteroids for over 20. My endocrinologist is aware of this and states it's "normal" for me. For me to loose any weight, my calories have to be between 600-800 calories.

I've made a protein shake a part of my OMAD for a few weeks now. The problem with protein shakes is, the protein powder is milled so fine that it will produce an insulin response not too far off of carbs; remember, the body can make blood sugar out of protein. So if you consume protein powder on its own, it will do the wrong things to your metabolism. My one meal has ~150g protein and ~150g fat. I tested Lillie Kane's statement that getting enough protein will largely shut down your desire to snack and found it to be true. Also, if you eat high glycemic index foods along with low glycemic index foods, the low GI tends to blunt and slow down the glycemic response, keeping blood sugar and insulin in check. So after my meal, I have a protein shake that gives me 25g more protein. Since my ideal body weight is about 160, I'm a comfortable 15g over what I should be getting every day. My total calorie count is right at 2200. Doing this, plus consuming all of my calories as early as possible, and certainly before noon - 1p, has enabled me to overcome the 'stall' that's clobbered me a half-dozen times trying this low/no carb method. (And I mean month-long stall and then maybe drop 5 more lbs; I've started out with 170 to lose.) I'm now consistently dropping somewhere between 0.75 - 1.5 lbs a day. My scale measures body fat, muscle, water etc. so I know I'm losing pretty much pure fat doing this. Hope this helps. Part of a carnivore diet is pushing through the "food fatigue" you get from eating nothing but meat. Check out Dr. Ken Berry for advice on that subject. I've realized that if you truly want the fat to come off, you're going to have to put up with a period of discomfort, and making yourself do things you might rather not do sometimes.

As Dr. Berry says, maybe just try BBBE (beef, butter, bacon and eggs). Sorry that sardines are causing you problems, but at least you’ve identified that and can cut that out now - 1 fewer food that can cause you problems! Good luck!

I lost 8 pounds quickly on sardines. I like them for the Omega 3's, but they are now just part of my carnivore routine rather than only eating them days in a row.

@@janetmagness9450 Depends on who the packager is but most don't retain the heads. Bones are never an issue, they basically disintegrate. You can buy them in water or oil, plain or smoked, so it depends on what you like. Buy a couple variations and see. I usually just get the ones Costco carries. Breaks down to $2 a can.

FYI...i read the Australian definition of what is alcohol?..."" and their definition was spot on but it slso applies to other substances that are #distilled and refined or sourced from plant materials whether its by yeast as in beers, fermentation as in grapes and kombucha or bacterium like in kimchi or sauerkraut and like VITAMINS SOURCED FROM PLANTS AND VEGETABLES AND FRUITS LIKE VITAMIN C and all these concentrated greens powders including milk whey that happens to retain the dairy sugars after the cream is removed. Please do consider all this when you source vitamins and supplements of any type and any sugar substitute especially the new type of sugars like xylitol. I’m highly sceptical that this woman isn’t using stimulants or cheating on her diet with some form of carbohydrate, such as honey or milk or potatoes or fruit. I’ve never met a carnivore that has been able to adhere to the diet, Carbs FTW!! 💪💪💪

❤😊I too am in need of a reset! I started today so i'll definitely join you in July!🎉 I've been carnivore two years and couldn't be happier with how well I feel. I'm chronically sick with LONG COVID which is a massive inflammatory disease and in top of that ive been living in a re tal with mold. I can't afford to move out yet I cant afford to stay here! Theres only one more room that needs remediation and the la sladky hired a mold testing company that lied and said there's no mold and hired herself an attorney who said I was lying, as if I have anything to gain from making her "waste money". Siiigh. Dr. Judy Cho taught me how to make safer rooms and we did that and my master bedroom remains sealed.😊 The law allows her to do this because she "tried". Ut truly is a terrible thing! Anyhow, My chronic joint pain, muscular pain, and lighting strikes throughout my body have all gone away. It took 8 mos of strict carnivore before I saw any difference and it was almost like it was gone overnight at the 8-mos mark!!! I fought the idea that this is how I would est for the test of my life, however after experiencing this pain being gone, I'll never go back!❤ being in Hawai'i for a while I ate out of carnivore diet here n there and I noticed the pain coming back. Like Laura I had made up my mind that I would allow myself turn on Carnivore thing here and there but did my best to remain carnivore and I did pretty good overall. Beast mode for 30 or 60 days will be great!😊
