During a split like this do you lift legs 3x/week? how often do you train with this level of volume and do you do the same workouts multiple times a week or vary with different exercises on a "leg day"

Whats your diet like? Do you eat at a caloric surplus to build muscle or at maintenance?
@IsaiahRivera1
@IsaiahRivera1 Жыл бұрын
I basically just eat to maintain body weight. Sometimes slight caloric surplus and sometimes slight deficit depending on where my body weight is at and how I’m jumping. It’s all very intuitive too, I don’t track macros/calories. And generally try to eat clean

a question, I started training to dunk and I am having achilles pain and back pain. Can you give me any advice?
@sh4de665
@sh4de665 Жыл бұрын
Stretch every day, look into isometrics (Ex: squat holds with heels raised or narrow stance squat holds with heels raised 30 seconds to 1 min.) Also look into core workouts. The stretching and the core workouts will help the lower back pain (if that's where you feel it) and the isometrics will help with strengthening Achilles as well as knees so you don't get knee pain either. Cheers mate 🥂

calf raises on a seated or standing calf machine letting your heel go all the way down so you feel a stretch in your achilles. this will also help strengthen the soleus which is the side muscle of the calf. back pain is usually due to poor load management so try less intensity and make sure youre using proper form. squat university has good videos on this
