Howling Dark is what sealed the deal for me on the series being a favorite. Just beware the first part is written to be confusing to mimic characters coming out of fugue sleep. It smoothes out and it's awesome!

The Wall of Storms is a really good entry in the Dandelion Dynasty series!! I'm finishing up the last few hundred pages of the final book now, and I'll miss the world a lot when it's over. The worldbuilding has been incredible.

"The Dandelion Dynasty" is one of my favorite reading experiences. It has one of the most complex character I ever read, a character you can argue it was a vilain, or a necessary evil that actualy made sure the a vicious cycle does not repeat. My priority for June and my most anticipated book of 2023 is "Mirrored Heavens" by Rebecca Roanhorse.

Happy June Reading!!!! I'm hoping to finish The Way of Edan, and I'm going to be picking up Red Seas Under Red Skies as well because I picked it for my June buzzword book! I hope we both enjoy more of Locke's antics! Grace of Kings is on my list, but I may not get to it this year. I am hoping to read another Robin Hobb Trilogy, since I loved the Farseer so much. I also have a few non fantasy contemporary reads I want to pick up this summer(beach settings). I am mood reading so who knows where it will take me. 💙🥰📖📚📚📚📚📚📚📚

Currently reading Empire of Silence because of you, it reminds me of the political aspects of Dune so I'm enjoying it. Its a longer book so ill most likely be reading it come June.

Hello! I really liked The windup girl when i read it a long time ago, i hope you do too! I'm reading The long walk by Stephen King and the 4th one of the Bridgerton's (just this one because i was curious about Penelope 😋) and enjoying both a lot! I have Red seas in my kindle at least as long as you have Windup girl 😂. Hope you have a terrific reading month!

What a fantastic TBR!! So many heavy hitting greats! Red Seas Under Red Skies is actually my favorite of the trio, so I'm excited for you--but I want to caveat that it did take a while to grow on me, because it wasn't quite what I expected at first. You'd imagine most of the book is on a boat, but it actually takes quite a while to get there! It's a slow start, but the pace of the book should make it great for a buddy read!! Enjoy your June :D

I picked up Shards of Glass by Michelle Sagara from the library, not knowing it’s a spin-off from a whole series. Not sure what to think, but it’s kept me reading! So, call me intrigued…😂

Tori what have you done to me 😭. I picked up Pines by Blake Crouch on your recommendation and I've hardly participated in my normal life for 24 hours 😂😂. It is rare I read a novel in just two days but I couldn't help myself! Now I've got a two week wait till the second book comes in from my library 😭.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have a question for you. Have you ever had an author that let you down by not publishing the next book in a series? Ex 1 Walter Mosley, I was not happy when Walter almost killed Easy Rawlins. Years later, Walter brought Easy back from the brink of death. 2. Dean Knootz.Dean started the Moonlight Bay trilogy. He wrote the book 1 Fear Nothing (1998), continued with Seize the Night (1999), and was going to finish with Ride the Storm, but he never got around to it. He continues to be a prolific writer, but the trilogy is not finished.grrrrr

Just a friendly reminder about "The Living Dead" by Romero, gave you a couple of more months than you asked for before reminding. I mean you had it right there I think you bought it didn't you?! 😸😁 By the way I would give it three stars myself it is not perfect, it's just that it was from Romero before he died and almost no one on here reviewed it! 😮😾

😬 I didn't care for the audio narrator of Nahri in City of Brass. I thought the world was so cool, but I struggle a little bit with that series. I've read Kingdom Of Copper, but haven't picked up Empire of Gold yet.

@ToriMorrow the narrator gave Daphne from scooby-doo vibes. I thought she could've been so much more complex. We're told she's strong and cunning and a con-woman, and I think I was expecting a little more to happen. The end of book 2 did give me higher hopes for book 3. BTW I just picked up Empire of Silence from a bookstore today! So excited to try it!
