As a chef myself, I am offended by your statement about it being the easiest thing to do. There are so many aspects you probably did not think of. Putting away deliveries(meats, seafood, veggies, etc..) Do you even realize how heavy some of those are to carry..and when you are feeding hundreds there is a lot to put away. Second, washing and prepping each ingredients for service(cutting onions, peeling and cutting potatoes and carrots, etc..for hundreds of people.) Prepping meats, poultry, and fish.. Then you get into working in a hot kitchen where temps can reach over 100°F, with flames from stoves, ovens, and boiling oil in fryers. It is NOT EASY..but people do it because they love cooking.

I didn't realise that it was a competition as where they serve in the army. Surely every role that each soldier is allocated is important. We want all our 7 to be safe but happy. We don't know whether JK chose to work in the kitchen or why. Why don't we just accept it and let him serve in peace.

Being a chef at the military is nothing to be ashamed for and it doesnt mean he could ‘not’ do anything else. From a military family myself, being a cook is not a demotion it is an expectation to do as part of ones training depending on the positions chosen. No one said it was a demotion once RM did it. Every one became excited because he was singing during this time. Without a chef one doesn't eat. How is that a demotion? I would say a chef is a vital position in the military. Every one should be expected to learn to cook. JK did it once just like RM. Does that equate to now he is doing this forever through the military? Nope. Every one does it once. Unfortunately, for the imballanced obsessed solo stans, everything our guys do turns into a competition: from releasing their solo work, positioning on chart lists, to choice of their military units and duties. And that is so sad to watch. We do not know why any of them chose the units they are in. I am thankfull for their work prepared before enlistment, proud of them fulfilling their military service and being examples of normality, decency and dedication. Dave. The question isn't whether or not tattoos are allowed in S. Korean military, it's whether you can advance or join Special Ops. And JK did say this was disappointing. Plus do you really think a military chef allows for any creativity? Just like everything else in the military, most likely there is the same menu's with the same way of making them, get me? The only position in the military that JK can not do is the one where he is face to face with the public because of his tattoos and this is by the Korean military , Army tattoo policy was updated in 2022, but it still prohibits tattoos on the head, face, neck, wrists, hands, or above the t-shirt collar. This means that any visible body tattoos are prohibited. But I know that he and the others will make their country proud.

I don't know anything about the rules in the South Korean military, but I understand why he can't join the Special Forces because of his tattoos: it's for security reasons. There are jobs where your identity must remain secret - and for these jobs only people without distinctive marks are hired. The Special Forces could go on a secret mission, they have to protect persons or assets etc., so obviously they can't have distinctive marks (tattoos, birth marks, scars on their face and so on). In Jungkook's case the tattoos are very distinctive (who else has exactly the same combination?) and, more than that, they are visible. While he could cover the ones on his arm, what should he do with the tattoos on his hand: apply make-up before every mission? Wear gloves all the time?

The live that he said he wanted to be in the special forces was the last live that RM, Jimin, V and JK did in December of last year days before entering in the military, he did want to join special force, I’m not sure why he didn’t I don’t know all of the rules and laws in Korea when it comes to why someone can and can’t be in a certain department of the military, but I also know based on what he has said he enjoys cooking and he is great at is he was one of the main cooks in BTS when they all lived together, being a cook is in no way a demotion it’s more of a promotion in a way because your being trusted to cook the food for your whole base in the military. You can be sure that the Korean government does not entrust the preparation of dishes for hundreds of people to an idol, just because he has a hobby of cooking. JK is not a cook but a kitchen helper, he is a conscript, he has to do the hard work. Regarding the Buddy System, it must be requested at least six months in advance, because there is a very long acceptance process. I mean the Army could have just said no.

Yeah it's sad that there are people out there just having fun trying to destroy them mucking and shaming them in what ever they do. I think in the military they may have units that take turn cooking or maybe they have people cook for their units. JK showed interest in the Special Forces (Republic of Korea Army special Warfare Command) which is TOTALLY DIFFERENT to the one which Tae applied for and is in - Special Military Police (Special Mission Unit) Capital Defence Command and I also believe it is in a different place. This Tattoo rumour needs to be put to bed for the reason JK is with Jimin - JK chose and registered first for the companion system, listing JImin as the companion he wanted to be with. Im going to be real here…Just because he’s good at sports such as boxing doesn’t mean he’s a good fit for the military. There are many things that he possibly wasn’t excelling at. Maybe he’s a poor shot, maybe he cant calculate the aim for the artillery (he’s talked about struggling with mathematics and being unable to do multiplication) maybe his introversion became more prominent in a new situation and hindered him. In the end It doesn’t matter because it’s not his actual career. He’s extremely talented in his real one.

What happens when the remaining members come back in 2025 and are already confronted with what negative things have happened around them and are asked about it?I can well imagine that when they've barely returned from the military, they're probably annoyed because they're confronted with it. I can understand, if the members don't feel like continuing to work, in which they have to deal with things even though they want to get home from the military first and don't want to be bombarded with negative news straight away.

I don't if jungkook been rejected for special force or not but it is known to all that he wanted to join special force as he said in his last live with V, jimin and RM. So denying that he was not willing to join Special force is a bull shit.... And people who are bullying jungkook for this are our out there mental health. If military rejected just because of tattoo then it's shame on military that thinks man with tattoo are something else. Bully the military not to idols.

Jungkook has nothing to prove to the haters. He's just trying to get his military service done and over with. Jungkook is the main vocalist of the biggest Global group in the world, making millions while he sleep. Artist waiting for him to be release to make more music. BTS will be on tour maybe in 2026 over 70 million people waiting to buy tickets. Jungkook is the strong member in BTS athletic. If anybody could have been in "Special Force" it would have been Jungkook his tattoos which he wanted have kept him out. People are trying to bully a already millionaire who's "26" with a billionaire career waiting for him when he get out of the military service just because he's a cook now. Military service job does not define Jungkook, he has his modeling career, commercial endorsements, stock in his agent etc. Jungkook is very humble it can protect yourself against anybody that comes up against him he is a boxer and black belt.

soldiers in Korean army need to know that JK has HIS VERY OWN ARMY, CONSISTING OF BILLIONS OF ARMY WORLDWIDE, and they are proud of him and his achievements, and they will PROTECT HIM, so IF Korean soldiers don't want millions of JK's army arriving on camp gates to defend JK, they better treat him right. Right.

Tastes are not discussed, but as you can see, this ancient maxim is still not respected. In my part of Europe, k pop is not popular, so I discovered BTS and JK after accidentally listening to his album Golden on Spotify in November 2023. It turned out that I had heard Seven on the radio many times in the summer, but I didn't know who was singing it. Since Golden, I've broadened my knowledge. I love BTS, their music. But my personal preference makes JK the closest to me. But I don't need to compare him to other BTS members. JK is a "highly sensitive" person and for sure his stay in the army will be difficult for him, so he probably chose a place where it will be easiest for him to survive this time. In his closing comment, he told the Army to live their lives during this time and he would come back as if he had never left. So let's let him live his life. And the song I wonder is great, it's just too short, and that's its only drawback. Greetings to all true fans of JK and BTS.

I love that song-I Wonder. Their voices sound so good together. I listen to JHope’s album especially for that song, but I like the whole album. Haters gonna hate. 💜💜💜 Also: JK likes to cook. I’m happy to see him out of harm’s way in the kitchen. There’s no shame in working in the kitchen. If he’s a good cook, he will be well-liked. I hope Jimin doesn’t get hurt in his job. Is he in the field, or where is he doing all these math calculations? In an office at a computer? I hope so.
