I always take photos as they load and after they loading. After they done inspect for damages and take pictures. Then make sure they secure the load properly if not use my own equipment to add additional securing of the freight. I did an order a while back and after i dropped the load my broker said some of the boxes on the pallet were damaged. And i didn’t know what to do or say. Now it is the digital era so take advantage of your phones camera

Great video but my advice is start to put the load at the bottom and then on top lesson learn , place the top first then the bottom you put a Lil more pressure on the bottom an boom the top one hit you on the head

I use old style load locks no priblems u gotta know how to use em people i place them 8 to 10 inches from the liad on one side jammed tite other side. Them knock em tite against loadc

Those crank load locks are very aggravating! The unlock doesn't always work in my cases and you gotta either find something to bash it down with or let the dock workers figure it out.

Hey junior where do you put your load locks when your done? I have straps but some loads I need lock bars. I guess my question is where do you stow them away when you're not using the bars?

Most trucks are equipped with a load lock caddy behind the sleeper.

I didn't know we cant use the crap ones, I have 5 attached to my truck. 3 of the good ratchet ones. I found gold at a receiver there was a ratchet lock in an empty. I hit the lotto that day. Time to trash the crap ones I never liked using them anyway

I’m switching to straps. Load locks are a pain. Especially, in the winter.

@@956NoQuemaCuh They’re called load straps. They sell them at truck stops. The trailers have side pockets to hook them up to. They’re super lightweight & easy to store.

@@Eric345 just had the above mentioned issue today. The forklift driver ended up trying to use the forklift to remove them. First one was ok. The 2nd he bent the crap out of and punched holes in my roof as well

Ratchet locks are ancient and garbage. Glad I rarely see them any more. Airbags or straps all the way.

There’s nothing rigid about modern trailers nowadays they’re built cheap they’re flimsy all the loadlock does is bow out the walls of the trailer

@fernando4640fg is exactly right in his/her post, if you're using load bars then bottom to top is the way to install. Having said this, if you;re pulling a wagon that doesn't have E-trak system, then, I'm sorry for you. Load bars is old school and straps are the bee's knee's. In the past four years, I've only had one vendor request load bars and all others require E-trak straps. Get along or go home, the industry changes and Owner/Operators have to change with it.
