I have a couple of MDC soaps; both are 200ml in the glass jar. They lather up quickly and have no artificial ingredients which I think is good. They are pricey for sure but they also last a long time, so the cost per shave is likely not too far different than a soft artisan soap.

Oh I agree! Even if i paid full price for this bowl, I would have got my money's worth out of it still. After seeing how much lather I made from what i scooped, I realized I had "Made a mistake" lol. And it performs very well! Thank you for watching!

Just a Shave!?😂 There is never "just a shave". It might as well be a BIC disposable and a can of Gillette if that were the case...IMHO and JK😂. Since I reinvented myself and discovered how much I love Wet Shaving last August, I have never looked back. I look forward to my morning shave every day. It is therapeutic for me. I feel "off" if I don't shave. The choice combos of soaps, brushes, blades, razors and aftershaves is exciting 😊. That soap you have looks like it will take you years to use up😂 The Schick looks pretty cool to use. Right now at Schick corporate they are scrambling saying, "Someone is asking about the Free Program!" 😂

Good question about blade removal and if it’s necessary. My wife has a Supply SE and She rinses it real well after each use and there seems to be no problem. I’ll take it apart and clean it with dish soap about once a month and install new blade. I don’t believe the Schick comes apart though. Maybe rinse real well then use a can of compressed air to blow it out??? Watching your videos always brings back fond memories of Texas. We got married in Corpus Christi back in 1964

I am 7 shaves in on the same blade in the Schick. I decided to leave the blade in "For Science" to see how it survives. I clean carefully with a toothbrush after each shave and dry as thoroughly as possible. No issues a week in so far. I think the blade is about ready to be changed though.

Good question. I have never tried removing the blade until I actually wanted to put a new blade in. I am sure there is a way to do it but I did not want to experiment. Not because of damaging my razor but for the fear of cutting on or more of my fingers badly 😅

@Wittar7090 Oh I understand that! Thats why I decided to see what happens when I just leave it in. 7 days/shaves on the blade so far. Think it might be time to change the blade. Ill try it tomorrow and see.

@@ATexanShaves I did some experimenting on removing the blade. It required a small flathead screwdriver and needle nose pliers. No fingers were harmed in this test. The blade did come out.
