JUST ANNOUNCED ZeroBreeze Mark 3 portable air conditioner - is THIS the one we've been waiting for?

There's not many options for reliable cooling when camping or overlanding. ‪@ZEROBREEZETech‬ changed the game in 2016 with the Mark 1 and again in 2019 with the Mark 2 portable air conditioner - they're looking to do it again with the introduction of the 5,280 BTU Mark 3, a sub 20lb unit that might be just what outdoor travelers want to keep themselves cool on the move. We preview their newest model as details start to drip out ahead of a full launch.

I have the ZB2 and like it so much because I can carry it. I'm 5'1" and do not have a man to carry my things. So, I have to adapt to my body's realistic physical limitations. It's expensive, sure, but it's REAL ac. I also had gotten the eco flow wave 2 because it came in 2 parts, but I smashed my hand trying to play with it, and since then has been in my room as mostly a paper weight, or simply a back up ac unit for my bedroom. I also live in a 2nd floor, and having to go up and down with heavy equipment just doesn't appeal to me lol So, I definitely look forward to this new contraption with higher btus. I'm so beyond curious how they managed to keep it at a similar weight with higher btus.

Great job, I will definitely be replacing my 2 with the ZB3, many of us suggested a thermostat because we us it for cooling our camper vs a spot cooler. Thanks for sharing.

core thing these guys all have to solve is let us run our own dc power input from car/boat/van. all seem to be trying to sell their own proprietary battery system instead of just letting our existing batteries and charging systems connect in. Needs both, portable and hook up to existing batteries that are being charged by motors, outboards etc. appreciate the vid tx, look forward to a full review- its how consumers get confidence in buying these products.

Why can't one of these companies have exhaust hoses that are insulated so that you don't put heat back in the boat or house or trailer?

Packaging, costs, etc. Usual stuff. People tend to really customize how they connect anyway.

I know this is 4 weeks old. And things change daily. The unit has heating; you can run the unit while charging simultaneously, or it can run off your own 48v battery system. You can charge it with 12v, but she needs 48 to run or just AC plugged into the wall. With the AC option, the unit will work with 100-240v. The draw is 500 watts max and pulls as little as 150 watts on low.

Wouldn't that be great!? Believe it or not we've tried to get our hands on a beta, even visiting Zero breeze at local events to get a sneak peak. No dice.
