I travelled from Bangkok, Thailand to Yangon Myanmar to start an unforgettable journey in this special moment in time. For some reason, it is still possible to get tourist visas for Myanmar. I'm normally showing you tourist destinations in South East Asia, though for this Myanmar series I have something else in mind, as there is since February 2021 a civil war going on.

Cambodia went through a lot of war since the Khmer empire area, and i can confirm that war is not good. Wish Myanmar be peaceful again. 🇰🇭✌️🇲🇲

War is not desired by anyone-not even by the modern-day Coming-Bodhi (Cam-Bodhi) fraternal twin Apollo Beau Tie me, but for Ultimate Good, morality, and truth to endure, war sometimes is unfortunately necessary just like in the Hindu story of the Divine Twins Arjuna and Krishna in the Bhagavad-Gita. I don’t know much about Myanmar so I cannot make an accurate objective decision as to who is on the right in this situation, but as a former American Democrat, I can say that law enforcements should be the ones in power. Not the clergy, not business merchants (capitalists), and not the people (communists). That will be like having rebellious teenagers make the decisions of their lifestyle over their parents. That’s a no no. Or a better comparison, using the game of Chess, you’re supposed to protect the King not the Bishops, not the pawns. Taking the quote from the fairy Fauna in Sleeping Beauty, “Sword of Truth fly swift and sure, that evil dies so Good can endure.”

I'm a burmese who live in Yangon and I recommend you to not go to upper regions where the wars are often. Even in Yangon sometimes explosion occur in military outposts. But it's not often and everywhere. If you are still in Yangon, go to the 19th street at around 8 pm where is like a bar street for youths .

Everyone is basically depressed, especially the young folks like us but we try to keep our thoughts hopeful🤍 The big cities like Yangon are relatively safe for tourists even though there are occasionally military men on patrol. However, Yangon is not in a warzone because those are mostly in towns and the countryside so it's actually a good idea to only travel to Yangon.

@@Chai_TravelHey chai! Love the vid by the way. Thanks for looking out for us. It's true, it's not safe for either you or one of us to do street interviews. A piece of advice though, please don't film areas near the military dudes because they're constantly carrying around guns and if you're seen reporting or filming BEFORE you leave the country, I can't guarantee the consequences. They're all over the place but since they're normally just patrolling around Yangon, you'll be fine as long as you don't do anything when you run into them. Love from Myanmar!

thanks for visiting myanmar! as a resident, the biggest problems i face are the frequent electricity cuts, and the danger of not being able to safely travel from city to city on land. of course, there is the fear of war too especially in the shan areas nearby where smaller battles are taking place

It’s a great country and the people on the street make it very special. It never seems to be at peace and I don’t know why but that said you will find out yourself the kindness and gentle beauty of its people. It is quite heartbreaking to watch the country rip itself apart. I am watching this now just to see what’s going on as I have been wondering about going back and this will help me. I visited the Salvation Army there to ask some questions as I passed one of their churches and I reckon they will be a great help to you on the charity side Chai. @@Chai_Travel I have no idea and I was there around ten years ago and they were ethnically cleaning the Rohingya Muslims. I do wonder if it’s an issue of having so many ethnic groups in one country that it’s very difficult to unify them. Especially with a lot of languages and values systems. It’s not a good time , appropriate time to visit myanmar. Even though people like us born n raised but migrate to outside of Myanmar are avoiding to go back this time. Situation are very fluid now. Anyway we tip our head to you man! Thanks for the fund raising effort too. Bravo!

Try "Toh Huu Nway" which is also a traditional food, I think you would love it for breakfast.

it's so obvious that woman didn't want you try burmese traditional foods since she said it's not good and and started recommend to eat pork.Because you were at china town and she is basically chinese.By the way,so glad and thank you for visiting myanmar. Things are not exactly as same as on the media sites.
