In a 2007 hearing on the Supreme Court budget, Justice Thomas responded to a question about cameras in the courtroom.

Some judges would "play to the camera," others would clam up knowing the media will distort what they say in soundbites for the TV. Its a very bad idea. The hearings are public, the opinions are published, and that's all you need. The Supreme Court turned is not a "realty" TV show.

@FAHayek89 In other words, the Court should be as UNBIASED as possible when giving its wise interpretation of the constitution.

@@chukwurahsomadina2897 nah. I meant what I said before. I think he's one of the worst justices ever to make it to the Supreme Court. He's shamelessly partisan. Scalia was a conservative, but extremely respected by his peers and would occasionally cast votes that dissapointed conservatives because well, he was a judge not a politician beholden to voters. No Thomas though... He has been consistent as though someone paid him off, or as though someone had some tapes about his alleged sexual advances. Either way, can't wait for him to vacate the court.
