This pair of Justin Boots was sent to us for repair. The welts were in rough shape, one sole was coming off and had been re-glued by the owner, and the leather uppers needed to be conditioned. We worked our magic on this pair of Justin work boots and got them back up and looking new. Time for another restoration!

You made them look new, great job as always. I still have the Justin’s I wore to high school every day. Two pairs. They are 45 years old and they are dressier models so their construction is much different. I wish they still fit. Your feet get bigger as you grow older. But not other things. 😂

Good morning guys. The owner of these boots should be thrilled with how these boots turned out.(would be nice to sometime see a customers' reaction) Repaired with much better materials than how they came originally.I'm sure that crepe will feel better underfoot than the carpet padding. BTW compared to the Nicks boots you took apart last week these boots looked like a breeze to tear down. A happy Mothers day to all the Moms out there.Have a great weekend.

Would it be possible to achieve an outside supination on the outer sole and heal of a boot for correction ? I've tried insole corrections but the tend to move around and I wear out my boots on the outside rapidly while it still is new looking. An outer build to be replaced would stay in place correct my supination and save my boots much longer. What do you guys think ?

The stitches on the bottom of the boot are chain stitched, so between the glue and the other half of the chain in the sole they will hold on for quite some time after they look worn through on the bottom.
@TrentonHeath
@TrentonHeath 2 жыл бұрын
Yep, I agree with Drew. As long as the sole was glued on well, and the stitches hold, you should perfectly fine. If the sole wasn’t trenched very deep, stitches are the first thing to wear out, but the sole will usually hang on for a long time afterwards.
@aradoran

Yep a lot of boots the bottom of the soles aren’t trenched at the factory. So the stitching gets worn immediately.
