Unlike other videos showing you how to clean boots that still look new, I wanted to make a video to help viewers find a way to clean and restore their heavily used boots. For those of you who are thinking about tossing your old pair and spending $200-$400's on a new pair. Try saving your old pair using this method and then if your like me I will still go out and buy another pair. LOL. You can never have too many boots. This pair that I'm restoring is the boots that I wear when I'm doing outside activities such as yard work, riding horses, fixing my car etc.
Here is the link for the following products:
www.sheplers.com/scout-distres...
www.sheplers.com/scout-boot-cr...
Sheplers has different colors of the boot cream. Make sure you get the one that closely matches the color of your boots. If your fortunate enough to live near a Cal Ranch Store like me, they should carry this product in store at a very good price. They had Neutral, Chocolate, Medium Brown and Black.
The boots in the video are the following.
Ariat Sedona Arena Cowboy Boots
www.bootbarn.com/ariat-mens-s...
Thank you all for watching.

Just a tip, not meaning to criticize: As a former military man myself, I was very surprised that you didn't use light sandpapering to remove those cuts and gouges. Especially since you're using a colored wax. That's how I kept from replacing my boots all the time. You can get a severely scratched up boot back to "inspection spit shine ready" if you very carefully just (like I said) lightly sandpaper those bad spots. A little too much and you'll get down to light tan raw leather but that's no big deal since you're fixing to use black wax anyway. The method you used in the video was excellent for sure but that one cut on the toe just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. But it's your Ariats and if you're happy it doesn't make one ounce of difference what someone else thinks about it. :)

Thank you, hopefully it helps. I wish cowboy boots had better lasting insoles, I have to replace mine every 4-6 months. Ridiculous.

Round toe.....nice! Don't particularly like the latest fad of square toe. Great job reviving those comfy boots.

I couldn't agree with you more, I always preferred the round toe, looks more classy. The square toe is comfy but when I go to look at new boots I always see about 70% of the boots with square toe or wide square toe. At least it makes my selection a bit narrowed down. Thanks for watching.

Square toe allows the guys who are prone to ingrown nails to still wear boots.

Good video. Sadly i tried this couple years ago. My boots didnt last. Ranch work is hard on them. So every month i use saddle soap and it helps pool water and manure. If the right boot i get year and half to 2 yrs. Laredo has been best for ranching. Very good video, enjoyed

shawn tyrrell Ranch work is tough on these boots. Its nearly pointless to do this on ranch boots which are every exposed to the elements. Better get workboots instead.

Eric Romero sadly work boots lasted me 4 months. Laredo Buckaroos have been the best. Going on a little over a year on current pair

Jason .-. Thank you, I actually just ordered another pair of Ariats last night. I've been trying to buy a pair of Ariat Sport Patriots for months but stores/websites didn't have them in stock or if they did they didn't have my size. Boot Barn finally got them back in stock online and they were having a sale.

Eric Romero are Ariats worth it? I usually just buy Justins and tony lamas.
@BtRct

Jason .-. I would be lying to you if I told you that Ariat is better than everyone else. Its just my own personal preference. Tony Lama and Justins are also highly reputable brands of boots that have been around a long time. As long as they are comfy for you and you like the design, thats all that matters. Unless I see the boot shaft I usually can't tell what brand of boots anyone else is wearing unless it is Lucchese; those ones usually have exotic designs that stand out.

Great Video, thanks for sharing, best leather restoration I´ve ever seen. If you may help me, I clicked on the Scout Boot Care link you posted in the description to find the composition of this product to find a similar which provides the same goal, as I don´t live in the US, but they don´t show I guess cause they are protected by Trade Secret laws. Would you say that this product has the same characteristics of leather car seat treatment? Could you make a photo of the back of the bottle showing its composition so I can try to find out a similar here? Thank you.
