This hits me. I grew up without a dad. Got with a girl that had 3 kids without their dad and I took them in as my own. Even though her and I aren’t together the kids still reach out and call me dad and her and I are close still. I will never abandon them.

I’m 32 and never meet my father. I went to my grandmas funeral this last Friday. My father was there but left his own mothers funeral because I was there and he wants NOTHING to do with me. As a grown woman, it’s fine but as the little girl who didn’t have a father there, it hurts like hell. I promise I will ALWAYS be there for her and she has the best daddy there is.

Brother i strarted crying form from the first words. I had flashshbacks of me and my dad and me and my son. My father has been gone 6 years now and everyday is not any easier. He was one of my biggest heros my son is my 2nd. I am sick and time is closing in on me.If there was a song to tell my son how he makes me feel as a father this would be the song. Thank you in so many ways. I am sorry if i have misspelled anything I am sure you understand as i have tears the size of my labtop lol

I worked on oil rigs in Alberta and my dad was a long haul truck driver needed to keep the over our heads it's tough and unfortunate that this is the way the world works. My kids know I'm there for them anytime ❤️

I just had my son a week ago and this reminds me of when my husband held him for the first time at the hospital. I instantly knew he was In love and is going to do everything he can for his boy. It's so hard for him to cry but as soon as they laid our son on my chest, he pressed his head against mine and cried with me. My husband didn't have his dad so it pushes him to work hard to give our son the family, the love, and the life he deserves 💜06/25/24💜

I love this song I am a father of 2 wonderful kids. I do have a father but he was verbal and physically abusive towards me because of my mental disability. I have broken that cycle of abuse because I don't do that to my kids.
