I just subscribed his platform. That's really help me to improve. Whenever I have a chance, I grab my guitar and patiently follow his learning material. It's very easy, progressive, and without realizing, now I can play one song with A and D chords, just in 3 days (30 minutes each lesson). Maybe some people will laugh at me, but having good sound from my cheap guitar is one of my dream. Thanks Justin.

I can't believe this. As a kid I started playing many different instruments, but quit all, because no teacher could teach me the rhythms in a way I could keep up. I know the meaning of the notes, just never got my brain to put it to practice. Now I'm starting with string instruments as an adult, but once again hit the rhythm wall. And then Justin comes along and makes it understandable to my adhd-dancer-brain. Thank you so much @justinguitar ❤

Rhythm / strumming was something that was never actually taught to me over the several attempts I had to learn guitar as a kid, and that's partly why I stalled. It was only learning the tick tock strumming method & when it was pointed out that rhythm guitar is often based around drum beats through KZfaq lessons that it finally made sense. I'm so grateful to you and a couple of other KZfaq guitar teachers for putting this information out there for anyone like me to find.

Justin...this is exactly what is happening to me! After a few weeks of exercises on your Rhythm book my hand started moving while listening (which I couldn't do before) and the Rhythm is starting now to be more "with" the melody than "behind" it. Tried to do it on muted strings...still quite messy but ...God strumming patterns are coming out by ear and feeling now! And I can feel so much more connected with music while listening! Thank you soo much ❤

Justin... I hoped to learn music as a boy, and right at the beginning the teacher was old, aged, tattered and hopelessly tied to traditionalisms used the british 'quaver' names (if you like). To me, a quaver was cheesey puff and entirely not musical. The semibreves, crotchets and Demi semi quavers ruined it for me. My brain closed, and my interest dissolved. From then on, written music was nothing more than a mystery and remained as such. Until tonight. I'm 52, and the idea of whole, half, quarter & eighth notes has just blew it wide open for me once again. Incredible! Such a simple thing to stumble on - and how typically British to over complicate. Thank you for a brilliant class. Amazing!. Happy 2022 to you. Long may you continue.

Awesome. I'm just a beginner and whilst I can keep time I really struggle with strumming patterns. Maybe I overthink it. Maybe it's focusing on my left hand too much but my strumming always goes off on its own little crazy way. Wow. That was a really great demonstration of rhythm. I love the rhythmic dictation by clapping that establishes the pattern and see myself clapping different rhythms for no apparent reason quite often. I was surprised that I got them all. At first I had to pause and think where the backbeat appeared but by the time you actually played the chords I heard the actual rhythm by two or three measures and was spot on for each.

Excellent lesson. As a guitar player for 15 years, it’s always great to take a refresher. Not to boast but I got perfect on this lesson, ahem.
