I just do elastic bands form elitefts usually the lighter resistance and longest lengths work

Shouldn't you add accomodating resistance to the velocity squats ?

You can, that just adds more velocity to the eccentric so it depends on your goal you don’t always need to use it

For the squat do we wanna go heavy to where we cant go up as fast really or lower weight and try and be explosive with the tapping the box and going up fast

Yea I wouldn’t say it’s a hinge but if you choose one squat and one hinge I would replace a hinge with this

The squat move I had my guys do was using a medium-weight close stance and 100 reps, and just finishing even though you can't go down very far in the end at all.Then, add weight as it gets easier.Ths is for any distance sprint.Works every time.I'm 74 yrs old and studied these techniques forever.
