I've also looked and looked Ive never seen him jump where i thought the top of his head was level with the rim. hes come close but even then it would have only been 42 inches.

This video just groups lifting weights as some powerlifting or bodybuilding workout (the most basic and well-known types of lifting) and Hang clean ig. Its not including speed work with barbell and weights, Olympic weightlifting or other barbell or kettbell/dumbbell exercises that focus on power output, not to mention the kneesovertoesguy exercises which are done with weights most of the time. If he focused on squat and hang clean numbers while also focusing on the other deficient/weak muscles he had, he would've seen a significant increase in his speed even while not doing plyos or sprinting. Sounds like he trained wrong when lifting weights (disregarding his weaknesses) and now thinks lifting weights is way less beneficial than it actually is.

Some ppl benefit greatly (in terms of sprinting and vert jump) from simple strength training becuz they're already strong in the areas that don't get hit by simple squats and hang cleans etc. While others don't see a big increase in their speed becuz they're weak in the areas that don't get worked. So it's dependant on the individual. Also Id argue he saw a big increase in his numbers BECUZ he had built up a great foundation of strength and THEN transitioned to focus on plyos.

I'm a big big MJ fan and I don't think his vert was 48 in. but who really knows. Could it have been and he just never had to? Yea sure, but it's more likely that it's closer to what this video is claiming. I personally think his most impressive dunk with his highest vert was the one he performed at the 88 dunk contest. Where he takes off one legged turning his body to the left, looks at the rim, tilts his head/neck to avoid hitting the rim and then essentially puts his arm in the rim on the other side. He did that while jump off of one leg, pretty impressive.

She is definitely all show and no go. Her legs are bigger than mine I would demolish her 10 yards out. She is 'slow strong'. Not explosive at all. Those aren't really butt kicks (Check out Chari Hawkins) or ask any runner. She (like 99% of female fitness influencers) care about glutes and tight spandex and looking the part. But there is no motor in that caboose. Female Olympic lifters would out sprint her for sure.

So, how do you explain the strength and speed of NFL players? The vast majority of them are as fast or faster than the top sprinters worldwide, but twice as big.

Whats the point to this? To discredit MJ again for inflating his Vertical Jump. Its came to this? Y can take away 8 inches and he still as a higher vert than Lebron. Thats what this is really about right? Never mind their are OFFICIAL measurements from UNC, The DRAFT and the OLYMPICS that discredit your lame capping.
@justjumari3 күн бұрын
I don’t even like Lebron im more of a kyrie guy. But if you want to make this into some political debate go crazy. But where’s the proof of the UNC measurements? So many people pull that then I ask for proof that’s not just writing, and all of a sudden comments delete themselves

I must of forgot to put them on the screen Usually higher reps for the lower intensity stuff The second it because higher intensity then we lower reps and sets
