TOEFL Speaking Practice Task 3
So many of you guys wanted this video - Here it is! :)
I answer a practice question for task 3 in TOEFL Speaking that you can find in the ETS practice test. The question I answer is a “General to Specific” question. Further, I give you tips how you can get a high TOEFL Speaking score in task 3.

Juva!!! I got 117/120 on my first TOEFL!! I needed 25 on each section and finally had 30/30 on reading, listening and speaking. I initially struggled most with speaking and bought your speaking and writing templates. Although I altered them a lot so they would fit me personally, your videos helped me a lit on my way to that score!!! Thanks a lot and take care!!!

I messed up with my reading. However i did well on other sections. I watched juva for 3 consecutive days and she completely prepared me to attend my test. The speaking section was a bit confusing as the question that appeared during the test were different in nature (integrated ones) but however i tried my best to paraphrase them and got 21. Hi Juva, I have attempted two time TOEFL recently first was on 30-July-2022 and second on 27 August, unfortunately I could not get the required score on first attempt and on second attempt considering the two section score I may not get the required score once again. I can list my weakness below if you have time please give me your suggestion. Reading : A bit problem with time management + Concentration issues + Vocabulary issue Listening: Taking notes major issue Speaking: taking notes + concentration Writing: In integrated part taking notes & time management In independent part, to much writing and not using strong words Received score around 80 need 92+ Thank you for your time!

Hi Tareq, skimming means that you don't read the passage in detail, rather you just have a quick glance at it and extract the key points.

Hey Juva! Your sample response is really amazing! I wanted to ask you, do you know what ''stopped'' you from getting 30 in the speaking section? I mean, your responses might have sounded really perfect! Of course, 27 is an incredible answer. It's just because I need 26 on speaking. I can do it! Just nervous... What do you think that impaired your score? Sorry to bother and thank you so much :)

Forgot to mention: how important is the conclusion for task 3? Sometimes the explanation takes too much time, and there's no time left for a conclusion. I use conclusions in every task when there is time remaining.

Hey Bernardo, I'm so glad you like it :). I went too much into detail in some of the speaking tasks. As a result, I had to speed up enormously because I got under time pressure and I had to skip some information. Therefore, keep it short and concise: include everything that is necessary but not more. This should help you get a high TOEFL Speaking score :). Regarding your second question, you should include the conclusion in order to deliver a complete answer. If you keep it concise, this is possible :).

Hi Juva! I am facing a problem with this task 3 speaking question. Is it sure that both the reading and listening passages will have 2 ideas or examples always? Will it be possible that there will be only one idea or example? Please response.

Hi 😀 In TOEFL Speaking Task 3, the passage explains an abstract concept or a theory. In the lecture, the professor does not necessarily provide two examples. For instance, there may be only one example. Hope this helps!

Very nice. Just a quick question. You mentioned "based on the information on both passages", while we read only one passage, so why you stated both passages? can we mention the listening as a passage as well???????

Hi Juva, For speaking task 1, I followed the Template which you have provided. I am confused about how to go with such a type of question. What do you miss most about your home when you are away? Use specific details in your explanation. For the earlier question, it was an optional question where you have provided the Introduction, Transition, Reason 1, Example 2. Reason 2 and example 2. If you can kindly help me with this question. Thank you

@@yonzinlhamo2636 Hi Yonzin, you can use the template for this question. You need to come up with two thinks you miss and then you have to provide an example for each thing. Does this help?
