I’ve had the 100 H for 5 years now and love it

Nice Video, very fun to watch. I'll probably watch it again. I also have all 3 of those 100 watt Marshall amps. They all sound very good to me. I'm a Marshall guy. I have 3 Marshall DSL40CR 1X12 combo amps. They're the same as the DSL100HR only 40 watts instead of 100. We use the DSL40CR 1X12 combo amps for small clubs. They are perfect and on fire ! I use one of the DSL40CR 1X12 combo amps with a Marshall 1966A 2X12 extension cab for our band's rehearsal room. I have a Marshall DSL20CR 1X12 combo. It's an awesome guitar amp ! The DSL20CR is loaded with a V-30 (with a Marshall 1X12 extension cab and Celestion V-Type), I loaned the DSL20CR rig to the other guitarist in our Band for his rehearsal room at home. It kicks ass for sure. I have one of those dumb Marshall CODE 50 amps too. I won't say anything about the CODE 50 LoL. I have a Blackstar HT Club 40 combo with it's matching 1X12 extension cab for my living room. Celestion Seventy 80's I run a Bugera PS1 Power Soak on the Blackstar HT Club 40 (I know everyone hates those, but I don't care). The Blackstar HT Club 40 sounds better with the Master Volume turned up at least a little bit. It's a great sounding amp. I have an EVH 5150III 1X12 combo (with a Creamback 65 extension cab) it's fantastic too. Too heavy to lift to use live. I have a Mesa Boogie Mark Five head (4X12 V-30's). Our other guitarist uses the Mesa 4X12 rig live, he's a Mesa guy. I have a Mesa Mark Five 1X12 combo (with a Mesa Vertical 2X12). Too heavy to lift to use live. The Mesa Boogie and EVH 5150III amps are great, but they're not Marshall amps, not at all. I keep the JVM410H at home on a Marshall 2X12 (one-V-30 and one Celestion G12K-100) I run a Bugera PS1 Power Soak on the JVM410H (I know everyone hates those, but I don't care). The JVM410H sounds better with the Master Volume turned up at least a little bit. The JVM410H does 4 times what I need in a cover band. I use the DSL100HR live in Elliot Twist hard rock cover band on a 4X12 (two-V-30's and two Celestion G12K-100's) I use the DSL100H for self pleasure, and a spare. (I have a mini-Toggle for the C19 cap, I like it engaged and in it's original form) The DSL100HR was designed to have less "sizzle" than the DSL100H and certain things are calmed down on purpose. All those C19 cap folks probably prompted Marshall to calm down the DSL100HR. I should use the DSL100H live, because it is "meaner" and has that Marshall "sizzle". I run 12v computer fan(s) @ 9v on every Marshall I own. I run 12v computer fan(s) @ 6v on every Bugera PS1 Power Soak I own.

Just discovered your channel! I own 2 DSL 100H heads they are great got a great deal on them from Sweetwater years back i dig this channel. 👌

Im usually the guy who defends the poster, for they are the ones who generously post free videos and who in their right mind can complain about free?! So i offer this unsolicited advice. Toss it if it isn't helpful. 1) The term is 'Noise Floor', not 'floor noise'. And technically is only relevant when the guitar is unplugged or a dead short is applied at the input cable. This method separates the two sources of noise (inherent noise vs noise brought in with the input) 2. Mic quality is terrible - so much shrill top end that all amps sounded offputting. 3. Overagressive pick attack + too much speed + lack of palm control = extra top end bite that is compounded by #2. Slow down until you have more palm muting control. Listen to better players (or listem to your own playback). Aside from the critique, thanks for posting and the effort you put into it.

All sounds good! Cant go wrong with either of them.

DSL's always sound very good until they're put up against something like a JVM, then you realize there's just something missing. The JVM is such a great amp. Don't get me wrong... the DSL line is very capable and fairly priced. I own the 100HR and 20HR, but they still get smoked by most of my other amps, including the JVM.

The JVM410H is a little thicker in the lower register than the DSL100H. The DSL100HR has less mids than the DSL100H. Overall, it is the thinnest of the three. I agree with your observation that the DSL100H sounds very classic. It's almost like a Plexi on steroids. The DSL100HR leans slightly in the Mesa direction due to its slight mid-scoop.

I’m curious if there’s any over heating issues with stacking heads on other heads with the air vents on top. I have a TSL100 and DSL100HR I wouldn’t mind stacking for space purposes but not sure if it would cause overheating

I'm thinking you should probably just split the signal 3 ways and use them all. Might as well.
