OK, I have a question - how did I get a precise copy of these with DOT marking in chrome for £60 the pair? Fitted up on a Wolseley 18/85 II and working perfectly (except a little flicker at slow idle... Cos dynamo).

Are there any tests if it fits and functions on a '81 Yamaha XJ650 Seca? They use a 7" round reflector housing, but I'd rather not buy one, just to find out it won't pit my bike. :)

Hey guys, I plan on replacing OEM headlights on my '07 Hummer H2, with these. Is it straight plug and play or will i need an extra 9007 male to H4 female adapter to make this work? thanks for your time and excellent video

You can watch it here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b9abntBhsL6xgGg.htmlm53s Since the video was created, Vision X has updated the Vortex numbers: they have 4,210 raw lumens and 2,947 effective lumens. JW Speaker 8700 evo 2 has 2,610 raw lumens and 1,770 effective lumens. In the videos you'll be able to see the beam pattern differences. We love the JW Speaker beam pattern. And lots of people like adding aftermarket halos to the 8700s and the Vision X light has one built in.

Got those lights a month ago for my Jeep Wrangler JL ... Couple of things...Brackets need to bought separately for it another couple of hundred bucks... my another issue is sometimes depending where you are driving lights reflexes some rare shapes that it’s distracting from time to time. Do they look good, yes those look really good!

You are correct, The JL needs a special bracket. When this video was made the JL wasn’t out yet! Thank you for watching.

What did you do at the 10:17 mark? At the 10:15 mark of the demo the entire light pattern low beam and high beam were super bright, then at the 10:17 mark both low and hih beams suddenly dimmed and the pattern seemed to get smaller....what's up with that?? Great video though!!!

Hey Zulu, this video is 4 years old and we've learned a lot in that time about how to film light output better than how it's demonstrated in this video. The reason for the discrepancy is just having 2 different cameras running at the same time and they just didn't capture the footage the same. Sorry for the confusion. Our newer videos do a much better job of showing consistency between shots nowadays. Also, we plan on filming an updated JW Speaker review video soon.

As of now, you cannont. Other brands are releasing harnesses for their own headlights that do perform that function, but right now JW Speaker doesn't have a harness like that yet.

OK, so many times other than not, my jeep finds itself in water at or above headlight level for sometimes extended periods of time, can this light withstand submersion? and by extended I mean having to drive down a stream bed in and out of water or in water for periods up to 5 min. in temperatures ranging from 104 degrees to +- 17 degrees

+SVFD3591 That sounds like a good time!!! Here is what I found on the J.W. Speaker documentation for these headlights: J.W. Speaker says the lights have a IP67 rating (meaning "Protected from total dust ingress" and "Protected from immersion between 15 centimeters and 1 meter in depth.") It's a really good rating! They also say that the operating temperature for the headlights is between -40 degrees Fahrenheit and 149 degrees Fahrenheit. Hope that helps you out!

Good catch, our mistake! Sorry about that! We said Evolution 3, but we were actually referring to the Evolution 2 on the right.

Whats with the shadows in the beam pattern? When you put the EVO1 pattern over top the EVO2 pattern you can clearly see the EVO1 is a brighter headlight... Other than the hot spot in the top mid, the EVO1 is still better... Apart from the high beam.

Honestly shining a light against a wall is deceiving. When you put this light in a real world situation shining down the road you wouldn't notice all of that slight shadowing. It all blends together nicely. And if you look at the lumen ratings, the new Evo2 has way more light output, so I think it's just an optical illusion caught on camera.

Douglas Patten From what we found, this would fit your 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide. It would be a fit that would require no extra brackets and fit the 2014 Street Glide FLHX, and 2014 Street Glide Special FLHXS.

Mobile Centre sells the European version of the J.W. Speaker 8700. I replaced a pair of Truck-Lite's with the Evo2's and was disappointed. Smother light pattern but the bright rectangular spot was more distracting than the Truck Lite "W". The Truck Lite's shine whiter and farther on Hi-beam. I am going back.

Are these heated/vented so they can be used in winter conditions?

S Dem. They are not heated, but they have no problem being used in winter conditions. The lights are powerful enough to create enough heat so the lens has no need of an extra heater. We haven't heard of any issues with these lights in winter and we're up in Northern Minnesota! These lights do have the standard moisture vents built in like most LED headlights.

We have not, but they are basically the same headlight. The Daymaker is produced by J.W. Speaker for Harley.

They do fit the Hummer h2. The only thing you might need is an h4 adapter to make the lights plug and play.

We haven't tested that housing in that vehicle yet, but if you take a 7in round headlight housing then thew should totally work for you!👍

BostonHooligan08 We do love the 8700s and they are by far our most popular. Lifetime warranty and made in America is great too, but the cost is a little higher.

@@HeadlightRevolution Do you think that they will fit in semi truck? I use 7" round Grote with hard-to-find-any-high-performance 9005 XS /9006XS and my lights have very pathetic output. How much would have be the heated version?Do you install in your place (shop?)or is just store ?

+Vitalii Romanchuk They usually do need the Anti-Flicker Harnesses when used in Jeeps. The new J.W. Speaker 8700 J Series lights are the lights that do not need the anti-flicker harnesses because they have that anti-flicker technology built inside.

These lights are more, much more than worth the cost. The value is in the increased safety and the ability see junk in the road, so you can navigate around it.

DSC800 the market determines the prices (ideally) in the US. Overseas competition like China can get its prices so low because china owns millions of factory slaves that it can exploit to sell its inferior junk. I support quality and I support freedom so I buy American-made
