We checked into a ferry from Dover, UK with out car and went to France. Immigration and other formalities were done at the port itself. Crossing the Rnglish Channel was one of its kind of experience for me. We really enjoyed it. Our European series begin here.

It appears to be great experience to cross English Channel through ferry. I enjoyed hearing your description and the details of ferry as I never get an opportunity to do while visiting UK and Europe sometime back, twenty years back. Enjoy Europe and different culture in those countries.

I have never driven ( dont dare) or took a boat to the UK though it is easy from where I live in Belgium. Always took only Eurostar train. Once I took a big ship from Croatia to the border or Slovenia, with our car parked at the basement, among all other small to big trucks. It was a unique experience then
