i really love yuqi voice sm (also ning²). im looking forward for her vocal improvements in the future. maybe her lows or mid range is her main strength if she develop it more. and also for ningning i hope she will be more confident when she sing cause she has more potential to rank higher tbh. great video btw!

I watched a radio live of Dreamnote Ghost and omg! They manage to hit all of the high notes, falsettos and head voice, maybe they're the best nowadays at live singing

@@zhejiwooinkwangya I'd say she's more of a darker soprano just like Jisoo. Both has a guttural placement, but Yuqi handles her voice better. She has better understanding of her voice overall.

Oooh I love Yuqi’s voice (another most favorite voice in KPOP ig as I love “deep” voices lol), but is it just me or does her chestiness make her sound less shallow than she actually is tbh (I remember some people saying that Yuqi is technically the best vocalist in(G)-IDLE quite a while ago and while we all disagree, I think that’s probably why lol)? She does seem to have decent chest coordination for a weak vocalist though. Also, where would you personally place her in the weak tier? Because for one, once again, it seems like she has decent chest coordination compared to other weak vocalists I think but again, it’s giving the illusion that she sounds less shallow than she actually is or could be that illusion again tbh (I do hear a lotttttt of chestiness or singing from/with the chest if that’s a proper technical statement lol from her lol-very uneven mix if you ask me lol)…so that will be quite interesting lol….but I don’t think she should be too low in substandard/weak tier tbh since she sounds less shallow (or just the chestiness illusion once again) than Joy to me lol.

@@cutiieeepatootieee2002 Yeah, and for both I do hear more singing from/with the chest (if that's correct technical phrasing) or chestiness than actual true diagraphmic engagement. I think it could be applied to TWICE Chaeyoung too iirc.

what did you think of Winter and Ningning's ost released today ? I think Ningning showcased stronger belts and had great showcase of her lower register. Also, I thought Winter's lower register sounded great and better than people give her credit for. And did Winter used head voice or falsetto ?

If Miyeon can keep up with this approach (as shown in her Ann One cover), I can see her moving up along or in the W-A tier to be honest (I think she could be stronger than IVE Liz tbh). She isn’t that shallow tbh lol.

I like Haewon’s head voice attempts better so far, I don’t think both stops at Eb5 though I can’t be sure with Haewon yet, Ning Ning having Eb5/E5 at least is plausible and she has some moments in F#

Her light mix and soft singing doesn't helps either, there's some vocalists such as Chaehyun,Nayoung and NingNing who is a light mixer but still got some development to prevent them from being too light and losses support.

Using sootzubae's scale, she would be Non-vocalist (she doesn't really support that well or support most of the time; too nasal, too stuck, and too tight to support at all). However, using Yeoun's scale, she would be at the low end of E (underdeveloped) tier.

so both are very nasal singers, that’s my first thought lol lien can support, i agree w/ @Nuggies, that scale @0:45 F4~G4 is not bad, carry support throughout imo. second vid @0:50 the phrasing has G again, it’s pushier but i hear better than lower average, perhaps going mid~A i’m guessing dohyun is very stuck in his nose, a lot shallower than lien. i’m not liking those E4s @1:10 on the first clip, i hear support but he is fighting for the sustain and it’s his better attempt i’m hearing above D4 quick checking. some Ds on the disney medley are about alright @3:07 @5:07, nothing more than a weak thing though.

thanks for the feedback guys! yes, indeed both have tendency to be light and go nasal. i wasn't far off with lien's placement. i was thinking of putting him around low-mid average for dohyun, i think he carries support higher than d4/eb4 but he has some issues so i think it hinders the fully supported sound we are looking for

@Nuggies i tried to find my comment on reggie's channel asking about dohyun's first clip. he said that most of his e4s were supported and the f#4 around the end carries support. we agreed on him being light, nasal, and shallow tho. i do think he could potentially be w-a too yt is a bitch constantly deleting my comment

yuqi ? nooooo 😭 first of all, she hasn't even got a good grasp of support so even if she supports F#3s (not saying she does cause idk) if those F#3s are shallow, the full A3s and Bb3s are better
