I am moved to read your comment. Such an elegiac reminiscence. I still mourn the untimely death of those idealistic and courageous young people I had known and loved. I have always felt that their bright lives, like your Sehin comrade and other Keftegna 20 inmates, were snuffed out, in vain, in those dark days of the Dergue. In addition, there were many more, among the surviving ones, who were scarred for life. I am not entirely sure if it is true that time heals all wounds. For some of the more sensitive among us, at least, the wound is festering as we helplessly watch the poignant death and suffering of still more millions, on the eve of the demise of a nation! In the words of Khalil Gibran, pity the nation!
