It was only Libyans fighting on the ground, but yes NATO airpower definitely made a difference, similarly to how the Russian air force turned the situation around for Assad's army in Syria.

In Syria, yes Russia turned the tide but also given the fact that both Libya and Syria were able to slowly gain the lost grounds against the terrorists they were fighting. But in Syria, the government been fighting since 2011, with lack of military hardware and manpower (since the terrorists were black mailing people into joining their ranks), but were able to regain ground slowly. The Russian aerospace force, enhanced the momentum and helped troops with modern weaponry

If you’re Libyan or live in Libya and know how the Libyans live you will know that Gadaffi was a bad dictator. He didn’t investigate enough in the country because he stole a colossal amount of money and share it with his loyals, violation of human rights, extremely low salaries, high unemployment, bad healthcare, bad education and poor infrastructure. For a wealthy country like Libya to be in this state is an insult. We Libyans wanted to get rid of him because during his 41 years in power he literally didn’t improve the country’s situation. Our aim was to get rid of him and build a prosperous nation, unfortunately due to the external influence from different regimes,terrorist groups, and militias we didn’t achieve our objective
