I feel bad for him. At City I felt he was playing at 0.75x speed when he got the chance. He processed everything much slower than players around him, both with the ball (especially under pressure) and when defending. He is extremely easy to beat on the dribble. I remember when we lost 2-0 to Southampton in the EFL cup last season, he was beat nearly every time, lost most 50/50 duels/tackles, completely vulnerable to the press as he just passed the ball behind a teammate or too far ahead, it was shambolic. Poor guy, I hope he rediscovers his former self.
