Double gets points for me because they managed to break the trend of making just about every main Rider some shade of red. It got old after a while and I know they had to fight Toei’s higher ups to make the black and green look happen.

Even after watching a sizable portion of the Heisei era, Double is still my all-time favorite season in the entirety of Kamen Rider. Shotaro and Philip are an amazing duo of protagonists, Ryuu's a badass, Akiko's not my favorite rider girl but far from my least favorite, the villains are cool enough (save for Foundation X), and I absolutely love the way it's paced. The suits are very basic but work really well, and Xtreme is a great final form. Not to mention, the music is all bangers. Double is just so great

Doubles modi of a going for a detective story while, having the two in one was a great way of changing Kamen Rider lore similar to Kuuga. I was taken by W's form a grasshopper it didnt look like it to me but its design is so simply yet so epic to watch

I love this season a lot. It was my 4th Kamen Rider season overall, and I gotta say, it was blown away since the 2nd episode! I understood why so many people loved it and it made me hyped for the next 2 in line because people have often said that this trinity of riders were some of the best. And while one of the other 2 delivered for me, (you'll be surprised by my answer on which didn't) W was my favourite out of the 3 for a lot of reasons. With that being said, looking forward to the next review! And for those people wondering why I didn't say much about why I loved this season, DON'T ASK ME QUESTIONS!!!!

*sigh* the Series that got me into Kamen Rider....the series that sparked my love for the franchise......the drama the comedy and the mystery itself is perfectly balanced.....for me it will be always the number 1 Rider Series in my list😍😍😍😍

It's so weird to me that people find Akiko annoying to the point where they hate her being in the show. She meshes really well with Shotaro and the rest of the cast. W's cast feels like a really tight-knit group of friends that can get up to the stupidest things together, even terui who comes of as incredibly edgy at first gets pulled in. Like when Akiko gets hooked on Japanese period drama dvds, shotaro makes fun of her for it but also watches all of the show in 1 night during the same case. Later they both are interested in watching the movie for the period drama series when they are in the cinema episode. Kamen Rider tends to have awfully written female characters that either work as plot devices in the show or are barely important eye candy who have hardly any interaction with the main rider aside from some weird romance plot or being an assistant when it comes to rider work. Akiko breaks that mold for me as she is more of a friend character than a female lead, no awkward romantic tension and she often feels like the closest friend shotaro has as phillip is pretty distant for most of the show.

Yeah, Foundation X usurping the ending was BS. I actually really love Foundation X as a concept as a series-wide underground organisation but introducing them to completely undermine the villains was a terrible move. And Long running franchises having to revive a character at the end is kind of a thing. Look at Shadow from Sonic. I think the strong characters really helped carry the show overall even if the 2 parter isn’t the best format it was a way to give a case extended time in a way. Overall, I’m Glad Double broke away and took risks because it helped give us some much needed variety for the future.

This was my first rider season and yea it was great

I quite liked Akiko, she had so much heart and courage. She would get so emotionally invested in the main heroes and the clients, when I would get excited over and big moment she would get excited with me, and when she would try to stand up to the villains even tho she wasn't a rider, I thought it was really cool of her. Also my favorite character troupe is a dumb THOT with a heart of gold.

Never seen it. I've literally only seen my first Kamen Rider a few hours before watching this video. Kuuga, if you're wondering. But Holy Handgrenade, Batman! Double looks awesome! I'm definitely watching it soon, maybe even before I finish Kuuga, watch them together. Also, unrelated but I want to mention it, I think Philip is really cute.

I just finished the series, it was my introduction to the kamen rider world and I really liked it, I saw that it has a power combining mechanic and I jumped right into it. Overall was a good series, but the ending was so bad... it was so rushed and the random kazoo guy made it worse. I also didn't liked that Akiko ended up with ryu, like c'mon there was no build up for that romance aside that ryu always treated her with respect, her relation with shotaro and how they know and understand each other was way better... And how anticlimactic was the final battle, at least the death of Philip was really touching, but they fucked that with reviving him the next episode... But like you said, the family saying goodbye to him was really touching too.

Ah, Double. My first Kamen Rider Show! I'm really thankfull with the Anime, I watched Fuuto Pi. Finish it and was confuse af because it was like there was a lot of information missing, then I learn it was more of a Sequel for W. So I check it out and cough my curiosity, watched it and loved it. The "twists" of the Overall Plot were predictable, with Philip being Wakana lost brother and Shroud being the mum, it was obvious and overall the Sonozaki was you clasic bad guys. But the show itself still had some special Charm to it, mainly from Philip and Shotaro Dinamic and interaction. I love them. I had some issues with the shows, but damn the kind of Balanced Seriousness-Comedy was my type of narrative and I enjoyed all the main characters. W was so Silly and I love some Silly shit haha I was BAWLING with Philip Sacrifice and even at the end in the Scene where Philips talks with his family one last time... W has such a special place in my heart and thats why it is my Top 1 in spite of some some things I feel could have been better~ I know W is not the best KamenRider Show, but is still really good and is a special one for me

I didn't even like the suit at first, but it grew on me and i started to love the suit. After watching this season, it became my favorite season. It was unique, it was cool, i like the fact that Shotaro is a detective, the 2 people as 1 rider plot, episode 48 (not 49), and even Fuuto city. It was a unique season. It was a great season yet also a simple and nice season.

My only complain with double is basicalt the desing of cyclone joker, i dont like cyclone colors, if be red or purple would be more badass, orthey could usethe build desing, i alway tought that build was a upgrade to the W concept.
