To all, the alternative knife I mentioned the Spyderco Urban HH edition seems to have some serious QC issues that have been picked up on by many including Sal, please disregard my recommendation of it in this review as an alternative to this piece, my apologies for the lack of research before on this.

I live in Texas and can carry all kinds of big ass switchblade type knives but I like this channel because I tend to like the more compact knives

After seeing your first video of this knife I bought one from Aliexpress, Kansept have a shop on there. I bought the black G10 version in 154CM for €66.00. I was surprised not to see a stop pin but the kick is quite pronounced and the closed distance between the blade and the backspring is about 3mm so I have had no blade rap so far. Since I bought it, it has become my permanent secondary carry, tough but inoffensive. Not quite four fingers for me but a surprisingly good grip for a wee knife. The 154CM was a supersteel not that long ago, I have no complaints.

Don't care about half stops, really prefer a kick as safety feature. I'm a bit disappointed by the weak spring but my major gripe is the thickness of the blade, it's a wedge! Can't imagine why the designer thought that was a good idea. (edit) Just realised I have KUKRI which is about the same thickness!

Should have fitted the handle as a swayback. Then it could be compared to the £300 Spyderco. It would still be overspriced. I'd agree on the carbon fibre. It's lovely. The problem really that I can see is the use of S35VN. Keep the lovely handle mterial, put a blade on it that can actually be sharpened by normal human beings. And sell it at £85. Good vid. I liked this when I first saw it but I think it’s overpriced , if it was more in the £50 to £60 price bracket which they are on Aliexpress But over £100 that’s a bit much of a price hike for me .

I bought the new Urban, and the backspacer and the scales are not flush, there is a noticeable groove running down the back of it, which is not present on my elmax urban or any of my UKPKs I won't be returning it, but I am a little disappointed by the QC on it, if I am honest.

I'd definitely go straight to AliExpress. There shouldn't be any import fees or taxes, but AliExpress will collect VAT at the point of sale - you can negate this by using KAN20OFF for 20% off though, and there's always coupons you can find to reduce it further. Cool knife, wish they would do a micarta one though, like they have on the Wedge which is basically the same knife.
