As self evident as they may seem, what exactly are Space and Time? It is not often that we ask ourselves these sorts of questions since they just "exist" from our subjective experience. But for a philosopher like Kant, these are exactly the kinds of questions that need answers. For how is it that we come to know an object if not through the intuition of space and time? And why does Kant call them intuitions rather then concepts? And what does it mean that these intuitions do not belong to the object, but only and explicitly to the subject?
This is what this video will explore: Kant's Transcendental Aesthetic.
