Once I found out from blood work that my vitamin D was low, and sure enough, my hair had been growing slowly and it was limp. This was way before my big chop last year, but when I increased my vitamin D, my hair did improve. And ever since my big chop and eating healthier, and making sure I'm getting adequate vitamin D, my hair is flourishing! The little breakage I had earlier was from rough combing. Now I make sure to detangle gently. My anniversary is coming up, Karen and thank you for guiding me all the way! 😊♥️♥️♥️♥️My coworkers have noticed my big hair growth😀😀😀

Ms. Karen, this was so very helpful, as much as I dislike needles, I will request my vitamin D. My hair is really thinning. Being unable to spend a lot on different products, this helps. Thank you for this wonderful information!

The problem I am having is my hair hates heat and hot weather. I'm in 100 - to high 90-degree weather. My hair is weird. It's growing nicely. But the texture is all over the place. Depending upon the products, I can go from 3a to 4a easily. Can't say it is dry but when it needs moisture compact and spongy with a tight wave. Properly moisturized with creams not water loose small wave almost unnoticeable from a single strand. It does clump together for a nice loose wavy furl affect. Every time it hits a grow spurt, the texture changes also. So the learning process changes, trying to guess what it needs or wants. I can't wait till colder weather. My hair stabilizes nicely and is consistent. What should I do? Oh, and it is fine hair but very thick. I'm always scalp sweating. There is never any air hitting my scalp unless I part my hair. My scalp is healthy. I think it absorbs the humidity from the air. I never wear it down. It's too hot and too thick. Help! Also, it's too soft for twists. That's a mess. I've tried with various products. It's a no. It looks crazy with my hair type. Flatter from the scalp, curly on the ends only. Not enough tighter texture to hold a twist. Wet or dry.

I had blood work done recently and found out I was severely deficient. I believe 30 was the low end. Mine was 14. I was prescribed a supplement, but the doctor didn't even discuss the hair loss and thinning, lethargy, inability to sleep, or how to increase Vitamin D intake. Ladies, I urge you to do your own research and listen to your body. Love your channel! 😊

Gm Karen, my question is should I buy your oil for my hair I have hair loss and my edges have fallen out I believe to my medications, my doctor has prescribed me minoxidil, im using about 3 weeks, but im told it will be 3-6 months before I see results. The only oul im using is black castor oil and tea tree oil? I've spent money on oils that are expensive and don't work, your advice is appreciated, thnks
@KarenofCurlHouse
@KarenofCurlHouse Ай бұрын
Hi Tasha! Thank you for reaching out to me! Hair regrowth does take time so 3 to 6 months is a normal time frame. If your edges and hair loss is due to medication, find out what the deficiency the medication may be causing and supplement it. That's key! GROW DIFFERENTLY so make sure you take a holistic approach to address your hair loss not just topically. Secondly, make you sure you understand minoxidil and its long term usage and dependency -- here's a video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/brFpmsdq0J7Xe2g.html And then lastly, my growth drops also help to support hair growth as well, but again, I encourage the holistic approach as you will get the best results. I have a program that will help with this approach: www.curlhouseaecademy.com. Should you try the drops, you can use code YT15 if you want to try them I also recognize that you have spent a lot of money on products, so if you want to skip my product all together, I would recommend you put some rosemary essential oil with the black castor oil as opposed to tea tree -- Use it for about 3 months and see if that makes a difference. Hope this helps 💜

There is a lot of misinformation on the web. I finally did the porosity test. My hair stayed at the top of the glass. However, when my hair is wetted, it saturates with water. No bubbles of water hanging of it. Drenched and flattened. I put the conditioner on it, and it looks like I have a relaxer. Not even close to being low porosity. What is going on with the information? What if I treated like it was low porosity?
@KarenofCurlHouse
@KarenofCurlHouse 2 ай бұрын
Hey there! It sounds like you may have high porosity hair instead of low porosity. The water porosity test is just a gauge to determine your porosity (and it’s best done on clean hair as well), but all of the other characteristics of your appear to be high porosity - saturated wet; drenched and flattened, no bubbles, etc … so try treating it as high porosity. I created a video on high porosity hair as well

@@KarenofCurlHouse Before the test I always felt like it was medium porosity, It retains water a very long time. I'm trying your wash and go method and started with heavy creamy conditioner. Then a heavy curl cream with grapeseed oil. Finished it up with a lavender, ylang ylang, rosemary, Jojoba oil blend. Went heavy on the products something I do. Tomorrow it will still be wet. I air dry cause blow drying even on cool dries it out. But if I leave it like this without sectioning off the curls tomorrow evening will still be wet. I have weird hair. It has always retained moisture. Do you have any advice on medium porosity hair?
