I’m a victim too. I was going through tough times and sought out to this. After almost mentally and physically tired by this labouring endeavour I gave up but they didn’t refund my registration fees. It’s been years now but it still stings and I feel I should teach them a lesson.

Thank you so much I'm from Mauritius and one of my friend got this kind of job from Facebook (she was desperately looking for jobs and apparently the freelancer co was from a well-known company in quatre borne[name of the area ] and she even asked me to help her, she had already typed more than 100 records, they warned her by e-mail that they can legally sue her in case of any breach of contract. I told her that he job was sketchy, it did not seem right at all, even the recordings did not make sense ( some of people were swearing at each other). She eventually stopped but she was worried that she missed an opportunity to have a job and get paid but the holy spirit re-assured that the job was not legit and I consoled her. Now after praying she found a better job as a teacher in a Mauritian polytechnic school. Thank you for the video, I'm going to show it to her.

My friend got scammed by a freelance company some months ago, he applied for a typing job and the company gave him a data entry work to do, after he did that , the company called him and told him that they have filed a case against him because the data entry he did had many errors and now their company is facing loss, a fake lawyer contacted my friend and asked him for 30,000 rupees if he wanted them not to sue him. Andd my friend fell in the trap, he paid them without even telling anyone about it(according to him, they asked him to pay the money in 10 minutes and he started panicking) I was like aahhhh, kam se kam apne papa ko to bata deta itne paise kisi ko bhejne se pehle. He called us and told the story after a few hours of the incident, phew, we tried to calm him down and suggested him to tell everything to his family. Now the situation is normal.

This same scam happened with my friend last year. He is a college going student. He wanted to earn some money. I warned him about this scam but he didnt listen to me. At last he ended up losing 8k money. He complained to police but he didnt get any help. Thanks karl and manisha for bringing this scam out. keep rocking you guys.

I've lost my reputated job due to covid 8 months back and many of such companies approached me for same thing and asked for money and registration charge being head of the family I was ok to go ahead for it . Thanks brother Karl & Sister Maya for enlighting us! 🙏

I've been a victim to the typing scam. They asked me to type extremely long 100 pages in less than a week. Somehow, I managed to do that for which they did not pay me. And sent another assignment instead. Also, they charged a registration fees of rupees 2,500. I was desperate and spent my precious time and money on this. They need to be put in jail. But the police couldn't care less. Thank you Karl - what you're doing is so great & helpful. I wish I had somebody warn me back then.

Kudos to you Manisha Ji and you Karl Ji, yes something similar occurs here in Mexico as well, these scammers will post flyers on street lightpoles of: "Work from home, we need secretaries, office auxiliaries, and we'll pay you 2,000 pesos(up from1,200 pesos back in 2007)each week, so a friend answered the ad, went to a direction and the work was really a door-to-door salesman job, but you the worker had to buy their products, which would come out to 8,000 pesos to begin with. They're still at it, but fortunately most people here got smart and know how to tell the scam from the real deal. :)

Wow! That's horrible! I work at a transcribing company from home. No contracts are signed. Tests and your work are graded, but graded fairly and explained what needs to be corrected. The pay's not much, but at least it's not a scam and they won't come after me for money.

My girlfriend wanted to increase her typing speed , so she found this scam online and when she didn't completed the task they started giving threats to her and sent lot of messages then she shared, the incident with me and when I talked to them they told you need to 14k . All I did was to reply them with some words of wisdom in their language and they never called again.

5 years ago...i wanted money so i wanted a job...so I googled online work from home and I found some number and called them...they said this same typing work and they wanted me to pay 6,000 before joining the job...i beleived it is true and ask my parents about it...parents didn't say yes..so i fought with them and didn't talk to them for many days...now i realize it's a scam 😅 sorry pappa ji 😅 Thank u Karl 😊😅

There's another model where they'll first take a registration fee for the job and then you the person makes "mistakes" they'll say that it's full of errors so they are cancelling the contract. So basically you just paid for a job and then got fired for it.

I fell into the same scam recently, I lost my job due to the lockdown and tried to earn some money. I completed all the tasks they've given to me but they said that they'll give me more tasks which will take a week to complete I was hesitant but they pushed me to accept it. The second week I wasn't feeling well so I gave up and called them, they said that if I don't complete they'll not pay me for my previous work I god furious and said that I need he money or else I will file a case and then they statred the fake legal action thing to blackmail me. I'm planning to immigrate so I can't afford to have any case against me so I got really scared and paid them 10k by taking a loan and after all that happened I got to know about the scam and contacted the police but they didn't even care to lodge a complaint. The police is in this together with the scammers

This is soo true. I have been through this. When i denied the work and all, I got a call from a "LAWYER" asking for the penalty amount that was Rs. 10,000. And just cuz i gave them my adhar card (Which i shouldn't), they started threatning me to file a case and the copy will go to my house. I was soo scared. But then somehow one of my friend is a lawyer so he told me that he will handle it, just let them know that i also have a lawyer. And those guys keeps on calling and with every call they increase the penalty amount. Now i am out of it. But definitely these things should be reported.

This happened with me. And they charged me initially ₹1500 stating that it's security deposit. And after 5 days of hardwork with all my dedication, they gave me a hell lot of lists stating that I made these many errors so I won't be paid. And neither did I get my ₹1500 back. 😢😓

I have been contacted by many scammers this year(2020). They are now targeting like due to pandemic you must have lost your job so would you like to do this typing job. All the time when I asked them is it legal, everytime they abused and hanged up. It was really important to make a video on this because a lot of students, house wives are being scammed. People should threaten to sue the company for not paying them. The hell with any job that thinks that people should pay them after all those hours of work. The hell with that shit. Thank you for exposing them.

I tried this with my friend once and we are teens who still study. we just wanted to earn some extra money, we tried this and they gave us near 300-500 forms to finish in 4 days. they were so loooooong that we could only do some 200 or something and when we told them that we couldn't finish they said we have to give them 500-700 rupees as charge but there was no such thing written in the consent. we didn't want to get included in this mess so we paid them the money and no we are doing online part time job in an official company as a writer and reader/checker. please be careful of these scammers and don't get trapped in their tricks. we made a mistake but I hope you don't.

I had also got scammed in the similar job. But I fought back and I didn't pay anything. And the irony is that even some police were also involved while extorting money from me. They threatend me to send a legal notice. I exposed them on the consumer complaint websites where they asked me to put my post back but I didn't.
