The Sea of Worms is back!
In this scenario, the Vikings of the Faroe Islands seek to cross the Great Whale Road and found new colonies. Although your primary objective is Iceland, to conquer the locals, you'll have to venture to Greenland and even the New World!

This was the first scenario I played in the DLC because it was in the top left of the campaign selection screen. I wish I had started with something else because of the pace of this one. Also the Skraelings were annoying to deal with due to limited resources and they mobbed me.

The Vikings need their fully fledged campaign, not random Sagas that tend to rot in the minds of the populace as the worst scenarios ever conceived by the devs.

The better Version of Vinlandsaga. It was fun to play but for beeing dragged so long the ending feels unsatisfying, some eastereggs in the far north of greenland or the sea of worms rewards the scouting I did before wiping out island, but sadly the most of the map is jut empty

Mom, I want Vinland Saga. We have Vinland Saga at home. Vinland Saga at home: Man, I sound like a broken record at this point, but so many of these scenarios could be great if they were only refined a bit better, but end up being arbitrary stretched and boring grindfests. I know Filthy likes his 3h scenarios, but being long doesn't make a scenario good by default.

Before Van Kleiss arrived in this Viking era, his works from earlier eras such as Mechanical Kingdom of Egypt, Two Headed Sphinx and the Giant Chimera. Everything that has been summarized is the EVO. Making by the Nanites (Exponentially Variegated Organism)

This scenario is so...so undeserving of the 3-star sword. Its a 1-star to be honest. I can give it a 3-star for dragging it so long. Greenland, couldve been done much better with units taking damage the more they are on the ice terrain in the north, as well as the gold piles and stuff like, why do you do that? That should be reserved for Easter egg stuff. The trees I do understand, venturing out and protecting your vills with troops. And also, why so little fish in the start? Also, Iceland shouldve had a bigger island, more towers along the coastline, and its troops shouldve been more upgraded(ik not realistic but gameplay's sake and to manage repairing under fire). Also the American natives shouldve more upgrades and villagers, and a small economy ~30 vills that starts when we land in Greenland, but is capped in the Castle Age only. Overall, I think this is one of the much weaker scenarios from Filthy.

Thorfinn Karlsefni, a young boy who takes revenge for his father by destroy Askeladd. But Mrs. Sinew stopped Thorfinn and said "You have another way to learn." Mrs. Sinew says her school was also destroyed by Askeladd and encountered something that had never been seen before called the Nanites. Thorfinn travel to find his best friends, Elnar the farmer, and the first appearance of Van Kleiss who told Askeladd to kill Thorfinn's father. And now Thorfinn found love with Princess Gudrid, she is a student of Viking Skool, has long red hair and dark green eyes, raised by wolves and trolls. ⚔️🔥

Finished nearly all of them and this felt like the weakest so far. It is just so ... stale and boring? Unless you fuck up early with the boat and go in the wrong direction I dont see a way to lose this scenario. Sailing back to beat the Irish also felt weak. Kinda like going on an adventure only to return to beat goblins outside your hometown.

I`ve sone kind of bug with all my Victors and Vanquished Campaign`s. I cannot fix transport poats. There is just load/unload option but not repairing when it`s damaged.

i read everything about Vinland what i could find. Had a big Interest in this Theme. Later finding out my DNA is mostly of Scandinavian Origin.

I was so confused by this mission, when I got to Iceland I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Didn't realize you could chop the bushes so I didn't think making a lumber camp or TC was worth it. Having to repair on Iceland is annoying because there are enemies everywhere. All my bears had 1 HP though, not sure if that was a bug. I like the concept of this mission but the execution isn't very good.

Check "Extended Unit Stats". It's in the bottom right corner of the Interface tab in settings

I do agree that Bears having 25 HP and the same attack value as Wolves in AOE2 is weird considering their superior size, durability, muscular strength, paw potency, and bite pressure.

Not my favorite scenario, but probably the best that would count as an exploration scenario. It’s just not something that lends itself to AoE2 mechanics.

Who the hell thought this was ok to put in the game? The whole DLC has a lot of pacing issue due to the maps being gigantic I feel like but this is on another level of dragging out. It feels to me like a far worse version of Vinlandsaga in a lot of ways. I guess Greenland feels a lot more appropriate in this one since being full of trees and populated didn't really make a lot of sense in the original one ahahah

The whole DLC feels like the devs didnt care at all, there is no "polished" scenarios, the devs just let filthy do his thing, there are at most 3 good scenarios but they all tire me and drag out too much. Not to mention the narration of the scenarios are just like aoe 4. Which i absolutely hate, nothing agaisnt filthy but i get tired of hearing him narrating and giving hints instead of like heroes being dynamic with what You have to do

I want more single player content personally (My wishlist was a Asian themed DLC with Korean, Chinese and Japanese campaigns), but this whole DLC is pretty terrible overall. The narration is beyond lazy, there are no characters, no new illustrations, nothing at all. The gameplay has some interesting ideas, I give it that; but the lack of polish is just beyond what's acceptable. Barely any scenario is actually fun as far as I'm concerned, even when the concept is really good they drag on way too much because all the maps are so big

It is not a good sign for this DLC that being able to change the game speed is practically mandatory to make this enjoyable. With that said, I do kind of like it. It's just so different from the other levels and has a lot of chill exploration, even if there isn't actually much to find.

This is just Vinlandsaga remade. Sadly this DLC deserves the 30% positive on steam. Not enough work put into it for 13 Euros.

While I think there are great scenarios in the DLC, I agree this one is quite lame... A remake of a 20 years old mission that isn't even better? Okay I guess.

the scenarios are not the problem in this DLC, the low quality of the production with the voiceovers and narrations never give u campaign feeling, in some scenarios there are only 15 seconds aftermath talk and done. Gameplay is fine and the ideas and mechanics are creative but the whole thing around them is so unfinished

@@gebhard128 I think that the scenarios are part of the problem. Most players have played these scenarios 3-5 years ago for free. There are only like 4 that's actually new. And they are asking almost the same money as a full dlc with civs and campaigns.

Id actually argue that "Most" players don't even dabble into the modding scene, except for MAYBE the trees mod. Hell, I have 600 hours into the game and up until 2 weeks ago haven't even tried a scenario mod out. I for one, have played about 70 hours into this DLC and the only two missions I don't like are both sides of the Constantinople missions. And since when is 13 dollar a lot of money when most DLC is 25-30 dollars nowadays, hell even cosmetics will run you 20 dollars because people are gullible enough. For literally the price of a burger and fries I got 70 hours of fun, so ig I'm one of the 30%. Btw there are more reviews about the missions themselves being RPGs/Drawn out rather than the fact they are mods@@andraskurucz839

@@andraskurucz839asking same money with full production on the 19 scenarios with unique voice acting is fine, in the mountain royals are just 15. The poor production and close to 0 polishment compared to the mod versions make this DLC feel overpriced, considering the free scenarios in the mod center were work filthy put in for 0 payment its ok to see this work now getting rewarded. But the lack of quality is not worthy of an AoE2 DLC like we had in the past

This map is incredibly BORING. I don’t know what were they thinking to include these huge monotonous maps that take hours to complete. And it’s not even hours of action, it’s mostly killing static enemies once you get more powerful
