Thanks for checking out this video. And keep in mind the following. This is the third video I've made so far, and I'm learning on the go.
I'm Kasper Høglund 26yo. And have been living full time in this Land Rover Discovery 4 for several years now. I've been doing it to save money on the housing situation. Which allows me to use all of that on traveling to places in Norway I want to photograph.
I've had different full time jobs next to this along the way. But now that I've started with video as well, the possibility of traveling more and creating more is starting to come closer.
As of right now I'm working as a photographer and "do it all" guy for one company. And that job is allowing me to take more time off to create these. Down the road, I'll transfer into creating videos like this as often as possible. It all comes down to time available for me.

I’m so grateful for all feedback from you guys! Keep in mind that I edit and voice a bunch of this in a car, on a train and the office of a company I photograph for. So I try to reach the golden middle road between easy videos and good videos. Aiming to be more self sustained financially this year, so I can easily put out two or more videos like this each month. Since I've been living and working in a hotel, train, car or restaurant for almost 30 years (only at home on weekends) I know how hard it is. that's why my videos don't have a voice :-) because I usually edit them in the evening at the Italian restaurant. Yours are really great!

Honestly my favorite KZfaq channel atm. Perfect mix of talking/story telling, silent sequences where the footage speaks for itself and cinematic shots. Insane quality too. I think many people probably don't even know much work is behind such a video. Keep up the great work man! 👏🏼

@@kasperhoglund exactly! Many don’t think about you having to place a camera, drive back, record the „drive by shot“ and then drive back to collect the camera again. All for a 5 seconds clip. But yeah like I said, keep up the work. Not many out there in the vanlife/overlanding scene delivering content at such a high quality level. 2023 is going to be bright for you. 🙏🏼

This is absolutely my favourite KZfaq channel rn! The cinematography and scenery is incredible, but my god the story telling just takes it to another level in each video. The shot where the Discovery's windshield lined up with the staircase in the background (at 9:57) was one of the highlights in this for me. Congratulations on what you've achieved so far Kasper. This is truly heart warming to read. It all comes down to a well maintained car, and some luck. I’ve done 260 000 km without issues. But some people do struggle. I know that BritPartUK have a “buyers guide” video about discovery’s on KZfaq.. that’s a good start

I drove down there the first time in 2019. But got food poisoning on the first day. So I’ve been dreaming about doing this trip for years, just to finish of what I started. And I’m so glad I went down in this weather. Truly a place out of this world when you experience it out of the tourist season

Another brilliant video Kasper! I was very fortunate to spend a week in Denmark on a work trip some years ago, what I expected to be a dirty and aging industrial port town (at least it would've been in most countries) was one of the cleanest and brightest towns I've ever visited. We rounded off the trip by spending a few hours walking the beaches at Blåvand, exploring amongst the half sunken fortifications. Definitely a country I will re-visit one day.

Want to visit, but it’s not really a car friendly island. 45 km in total. Can ship the car up, and do a bunch of things there. But cost vise, it’s easier to fly up and show the island without the car!

Ahhh, my half hour of zen. I was wondering where you'd been. Another gorgeous video! Thank you for the time and effort you put into these. It's so appreciated. Funny you mention Camel Trophy as that is why I purchased my first Range Rover (1991) and became president of my local Land Rover Club. I still have several of those on VHS. :) A fun walk down memory lane. As I watch these, I wonder if you think about upgrading to a 110 or even a 130. Certainly more comfortable, and likely similarly capable. Although the cost might be astronomical.

Great Lars song choice, very fitting for the backdrop. This video hit home because it reminds me of all the miles over the years I've spent traversing the beaches by 4x4 here in Texas. We spend the majority of our time on the coast in the winter months as well for the same reasons you listed here, it's more tranquil and obviously less populated. Keep up the good work, your videos keep getting better and better and they allow us to escape the doldrums of daily modern life for a brief moment. All the best from Texas, J.

Fantastic to see you driving some of my favorite beaches in Denmark! Fantastic and rough in the winter time. (Thou I have not driven these in winter). I cannot wait to get back on the beaches, and to Norway!, in my Landy once the weather get just a little bit better.

The beaches are very much like the ones in Southport, Merseyside, UK. Where i spent many a happy hour in my series III LR, with my sons driving around and collecting wood.

I usually watch videos at x1.6 speed, but when I see a video from you I put it back to x1, put the video on full screen and just enjoy each moment, it's so beautiful, relaxing, I love the cinematograph, the story telling, the music... Thank you soo much Thomas 🙏🙏 I grew up with a D2 and a Freelander. Later on a D3, and a defender puma. So the choice of the car is pure passion haha
