My dad used to take us out for Kaspers when I was a kid(I’m nearly 60), and I used to get the dogs with nothing on them. I REALLY hated tomatoes, and one time Mr. Kasper come out and gave my dad something to give me if I ate one with tomatoes on it. I'm from LA, but I lived in Oakland for over 10 years. One of my favorite places was Las Palmas fried seafood and burrito spot. Try the steak and shrimp burrito, or the seafood. I think it was on 27th and Fruitvale in Oakland

Casper's is a classic , they had multiple locations in the Bay . Never been to the "K" Kaspers after watching the video no gloves probably never will 🤢 Top dog in Berkley is also a go to spot open late to . Been to N.Y.C. hot dogs are way overrated to be honest . I recommend Dirt dog in L.A. when you go back down south

When I'm in "The Town" I definately hit up Kaspers. I prefer beef over pork when it comes to my links and dogs, the snap and the flavor take it up! When I'm at home in the South Bay I mess with Frank and Furters or Happy Hound. When I'm in Southern Cali I rock with Pinks or Tommy's!!

My husband who grew up in Oakland told us Caspers with the C was the original. He insisted even as your video started. We're going to have to try Kaspers with the K. He took us to Caspers a few years ago. We liked the crunch of the frank but it was kind of bland and very skinny. It was kind of pricey and did not load it up. Maybe we didn’t bring out our cameras 😂.

For an evaluation I think you should have odered the traditional steamed hot dog. I had my first Casper’s 70+ years ago. Kaspers and Casper’s both taste the same in my opinion. They’re the best! When my friend visits me in Nevada he always brings a couple pounds of Casper’s with him.

Next time gotta try Top Dog too 🌭 I also recommend Scolari’s Good Eats in Alameda. They have a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and a Blueberry Bacon Blue Cheese burger and a rotating menu of unique specials. But the fries are the star of the show in my opinion!
