Kassy and Darren: 7 Q Chromosome deletion

Kassy's pregnancy with her son Kenai was average until he was unexpectedly born 5 weeks early. When he was 5 days old, doctors told Kassy and her husband Darren that Kenai had a deletion on his 7th chromosome. There have been 34 reported cases that are similar, but none that are exactly like Kenai.

Hi, my daughter is now 14, she has a chromosome 7 partial deletion. She is Deaf and at 14 years old is 54.6 pounds. We've known about her genetic problems for years but today is the only time I've ever thought to check KZfaq ....

I don't think telling people to take no advice or information about anything is self-defeating when THAT is advice.

I have 7q11.23 duplication syndrome my self I had it from the day I was born & now im 38 years old

only few kids have been diagnosed with this 7 q deletion . the kids all are so beautiful ...

3:21 Y'all are such a beautiful family! Your little girl, at the bottom there, has the look of wonder and amazement on her sweet face, and it just made me smile! Congrats on the new baby. (not so new now, but you know what I mean 😉)
