@Spinko7128 Agreed. I love how Benedict and Colin kinda ship it too, along with the way more aware Daphne. They are such a precious family. Also, I know it throws the books and blah blah but I love the idea of Edwina and the Prince. The two ingenues connect to each other and undoing their fairytale mistakes of the past.

Basically everyone… I believe thats what pushed this season over the bar . Feast for the eyes . This warrants an award . I will be sorely disappointed if they r not a knowledged for it !!

Actually Anthony is confident in her ability. He just doesn’t want anyone knowing how good she is. First of all, she is competition for him and second, he doesn’t want people realizing Kate is basically the female version of him. lol yes Kate is a spinster, but Anthony still sees her as a Lady and is trying to woo her even though he acts like he isn’t.

I really love Edwina, the whole time she’s trying to put her foot down and have her sister respect her choices and see things from her perspective. I wasn’t surprised when she told her sister off with “if I choose to marry him or leave him just know my thought will have nothing to do with you. I am choosing by myself and for myself”. She is so gentle yet willing to stand up for herself. I really hope she finds someone. She’s so open minded and although she’s innocent she does know what she’s looking for in a man.

I agree. He respects her abilities, he knows she is great at horse riding, for example. Or at Pall Mall. But he doesn't want she to come with them, so is trying to discourage her

Unpopular opinion: Edwina’s character makes me happier than Kate’s. She shows so much innocence and sweetness, it’s so rare to see women of colour in period dramas being represented that way these days. I love Kate’s agency on screen but combined with Edwina’s adorable personality, it’s the perfect representation of how women should be represented in period dramas.

@@anniebox9589 By sweet I meant by seeing the best in people and being always positive. She’s only in her early 20s unlike Kate who had time to have her brain fully developed and things figured out unlike the other young ladies around Anthony. Put yourself into Edwina’s shoes and the context in which she lives and you'll see how powerful it is to see a very young woman of colour like her being represented as a sweet innocent and untouchable love interest who is not necessarily experimented in men and love. She’s written just like Daphne in the first season and I think people aren't used to this kind of representation and it shows.
