Beautiful collection! My converters work great however you really need to be firm when inserting them. I actually like that they dont hold a ton of ink allowing me to switch out ink colors often❤

I’m with you in all of these points. I’m also a card carrying member of the little hands club so these pocket pens are wonderful. I have the banana colored plastic one, but it’s a little too light. I have the brass sport and I love it, but not for extended writing sessions because it’s heavy. My black stonewashed AL sport is PERFECT. I have a stub nib in that pen, but I switch it out between these three pens along with a Fine, a medium, and a Broad nib. Kaweco makes some of my favorite stub nibs. Honestly, I think the only pens I’m going to buy from here on out are pens that allow you switch out nibs easily. Pelikan, Esterbrook, Kaweco, Lamy…this is so convenient. I feel like I need to note that Kaweco nibs tend to be really dry and I can see how people might have a hard time with skipping and hard starts. I have found that, for me, I don’t have that issue when using a paper with tooth. Like MD paper or even basic printer paper. I can make my own nib adjustments to help with that ink flow issue. I’m not sure that a lot of people do, but I think it’s totally necessary to know for these pens just because you never really know what you’re going to get.

I'm not new to fountain pens and never really considered a Kaweco Sport;I do love the Kaweco Dia2 ! A few months back I decided I would try a Sport Classic in Double Broad and finally understood why they are so beloved. I can foresee getting many different nibs and maybe not many more actual pen bodies; but,who knows? A week ago I received a Bronze Sport that I am enjoying immensely.

Your selection of colors looks so good together. I have two Kaweco Sports - a mint with extra fine nib and the iridescent with double broad nib. Love them both. I have been window shopping for another one, but would like to try the ballpoint and/or rollerball versions. I like the brass, and the (new?) limited edition gold. I also noticed the stainless steel, which to me seems like a perfect combination of rustic and elegant. Your stonewashed blue has also really caught my eye. So many to dream about! I have the pink, it was one of my first fountain pens. Not a particular lover of Kaweco, but when the iridescent one came out last year, had to have it! I have a brass clip on mine, which contrasts nicely with the cool tone of the pen, but was thinking of getting a black clip….

I have 6 kaweco sport plus two mechanical pencils at the moment, a classic in white, kaweco sport in sunrise yellow, two kaweco collections dark olive, and mellow blue extra fine and fine nibs and a frosted sport blush pitaya with a fine nib, not long ordered the cult pen exclusive classic sport in transparent gold with a fine nib. now saving up for a kaweco Al in rose gold.

You have to push the converter a little harder than a cartridge but it will go in. I'm using mine right now with the little converter.

I know someone else brought this up but silicone grease on the threads then you can fill the whole pen up with ink. You can only do this with the plastic pens.

I love my Kaweco Sports, especially the heavier ones (AL) ❤ My favorite one … I can‘t decide between the AL Sport Raw and the AL Sport Stonewashed Blue. Next one will be the Brass Sport. But I also love some of the Collection Series, esp. the Mellow Blue and the Iridescent Pearl. And the new one, the Apricot Pearl. As I‘m located in Nürnberg, the Home of Kaweco, I‘m really near to the Candy Store 😊

I have the raw stainless steel & iguana blue (aluminum) kaweco sport fountain pens 🖋️ they should last a lifetime. Entering my 30’s I decided to start journaling and sketching again and working on my penmanship. ✍️

Can you perhaps just refill the disposable cartridge with fountain pen ink? I've done it using a syringe with a fine needle tip (a 1ml insulin-type syringe) and I find it works ok. Your video was really interesting and fun, thank you!

You can also put the ink directly in the plastic ones, just lube the threads so no leaks and use any ink.

I’m new to fountain pens. My first was an Amazon brand pen, with a fine nib. Last night I unboxed my second pen, a Kaweco, medium nib, irredentist. It is lovely to write with. I had purchased the converter, but had not tried it yet. I stopped mid video to see if my converter fit. It took a few tries but I got it on. I had to press quite firmly. There are no instructions and I’m new to this. Do I fill the converter on its own or do I put it in the pen and put the nib in the ink? Thanks for the great videos.

I love my Kaweco sport. It was very reasonably priced. I use it daily for all my writing needs. I'm thinking of getting more and using different colored ink. I use Kaweco's blue/black ink. This is one of two fountain pens I own. I love my TWSBI, but I don't use it daily, mainly because my other is always out and waiting for me!

I have the Kaweco Sport grey (I think it’s called Grey Storm) w/ XF nib, and I bought a converter with it. Then I heard what you said about them being wonky (and today, tiny-holed), but not knowing there would be a problem, I put it in and it is in use now, using Diamine’s Earl Grey ink. It works for me, but perhaps I shoved it in a little harder than usual. I’ve since taken it out to clean the pen and reinserted it. It still works fine, except that I need to fill it more often than my J.Herbin pen. Have you tried to fit both of the converters (sometimes it works…) to the plastic pens?

I wonder if the converter is for the Lilliput model making it too small for the sport.
