Wow! Praise God!

There were things that the Lord began to show me but I was literally sitting in a HRM congregation when the Holy Spirit revealed to me that they were exalting the torah above Yeshua that they were out of balance and that I did not need to go there anymore. The Lord showed me at home that day that all the bad i had seen come into the movement was not just bad coming in but that the foundation of the movement was cracked and faulty as it was built on torah instead of Jesus and the gospel. The next day I went to church as we sang about Jesus righteousness i realized I had subtly lost sight of the righteousness of Christ in the torah movement.

I also spent about 18 years in the movement, but some of that was my childhood. I had a long, gradual process separating myself from it but once my eyes were opened it was like a veil was gone. I finally understood my identity and the real gospel.

Exactly!! God is so amazing and His Word He has placed above His name. That is why were are admonished over and over again to study to shew ourselves approved, to meditate in His word day and night. To keep His statues and commandments. Not under the legalism of the law, but now that we can truly obey God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. You can't find keeping the Sabbath in the New Testament, but there's still the prohibition on adultery, theft, lying and the other nine commandments in the New Testament, because those are moral laws. The moral law was not done away with, but the civil and ceremonial parts of the Mosaic Law have.

I’m sorry this is longish... Yes, Jesus said “MY yoke is easy and MY burden is light”. Not screaming here, this comment just kinda clicked into place as to how burdensome the law of Moses is. When it was given to the Israelites, there weren’t a gozillion different fabrics to work through. Also as to feast days...we personally are physically unable to do the work and have no place to go. Concerning clean foods...we have no idea where our food comes from if we don’t grow/raise it ourselves and that isn’t possible for most people. I just cringe when I hear people say “do the best you can”. Would a loving God say that? Would He demand we do something that is not possible? God knew what the world was going to become and wrapped himself in flesh to deliver a new and better covenant. One that anyone can keep. The more I read the comments, the more that cements into my heart. I may repost this

These things may seem obvious to those on the outside, and they are realizations that have been coming to me slowly over several years, but I've been in the movement for over 30 years, and in deep, so I'm just taking it slow and learning to let the Spirit teach me. While at our strictest point, we did realize the need to grow/raise our own food and never eat out (due to cross contamination) etc. We found ourselves more and more isolated from the world around us, but that just meant that we were more "set apart". I also cringe at "do the best you can". I really don't believe that YHWH gives commands we can't keep, and He's not an abusive tyrant demanding that we constantly prove our love and loyalty. His commands are about relationship. When I finally got to the point that I started asking myself whether I really believed that YHWH's intent for His people today is to recreate the ancient Israelite culture that is when my mind began to be able to really begin to think more critically issue by issue. I'm not in any hurry. There are many practices that I absolutely love that we learned in this movement, and I can't unsee the value in them, but I am learning to love them differently and not from a fear that if I don't "get it right" in performance or doctrine that I am "deceived" and "lost". I'm getting to know my Father and my Savior really for the first time as a loving God and realizing that my view of Him while in the HRM was actually very similar to how pagans viewed and feared their deities.

Some translations of Deuteronomy 22:11 say mixed threads or garments, the Septuagint and KJV say not to mix linen and wool. Not cotton with other materials. I found through a search one day that linen and wool have a frequency of approximately 5,000 and cotton is 250, synthetic has 0. From the way I’ve looked at it was to not mix linen and wool bc they cancel themselves out. Plus this was more important during the days when there was a temple and people would be in the presence of God, It was for their protection. In Japan they did a study on linen fabric bc of the healing frequency of the fabric. The patients in a hospital were put in linen sheets and their wounds healed quicker and they didn’t get bed sores in comparison to those that had either Cotten or mixed cotton sheets. I found that fascinating. The instructions of the father are not burdensome, it’s man that complicates things. I’m glad you have found comfort in being able to wear cotton mixed with other fabrics now, I bet that is a lot of weight lifted off your shoulders.

@1Cor15.3 All sovereignty is given to the King. There is no sovereignty in the Law of Moses. I am not Jewish so I am not under the Law of Moses. The Law of Moses is given to the Jewish people and is a wonderful way to show Jewish love for God. But it is only a traditional adherence and not a sovereign Law. It must be done in accordance with the congregation of Israel. Otherwise it is a mockery much like black face to African people. I have the Law of God written upon my heart. That is how I satisfy my requirement to obey the Law of God. It is a natural part of my character and therefore can never be broken.

Whenever you start to feel defeated get on your knees in prayer and give your cares over to him, because he cares for you. He sees and hears all of your prayer even though you don’t always feel his presence. Remember the footprints in the sand story. He is carrying you in your worst moments. I am praying for you. Some days its: Pray to find the strength to get up, do the chores, abide in Christ, bear fruit, try to sleep. Repeat. You can do all things in Christ....sometimes that thing is allowing yourself to falling before His feet broken and allow yourself to be weak in HIs presence. Yes! I also heard people that said the same thing about the name Jesus claiming we have to call Him Yeshua or Yehushua, Yahshua…we couldn’t even agree on which Hebrew name to call Him. Then the argument that the name “God” is bad and we should call Him Yah instead but I’m pretty sure one reason God said, “I Am who I Am” was to counter this kind of thinking…also, some people claim that Yah is His real name and that we disrespect Him by not calling Him by His name. Well, I’d never call my earthly father by his name, that’d be disrespectful. So that argument never sat well with me.

@@shannonedgar6781 yeah it is stressful, then ya got the pagan police, who go and feel they got to correct you everytime you use a pagan word, and they are adamant about the English language being witch language but they use Hebrew as an incantation, and that is hypocrisy whether they know or willing to admit that is what they are partaking in. Regardless, it is the only language a lot of us speak. The pure Hebrew is non-existent anyway, most Hebrew spoken today is Aramaic and Yiddish. Of course i am not a language scholar though. They also fight about which calendar to use. They actually follow a lot of the talmud when it comes to the seder plate and rituals and traditions in the celebrating of the feasts and such. That movement is a mess. And i am blessed that i was given grace to come out of it.

Thank you for this. My wife is drawn towards SDA due to some family connections (she was brought up adventist) and some anxiety in her faith which leads her towards a more maximalist, legalistic, occasionally extremist ideology. I don't find it theologically sound, biblical, or healthy for someone who experiences such strong anxiety. I hope that she will find a good path in more conventional / mainstream Christianity. Please could I ask you to expand on your advice with any thoughts of what I can show her or discuss with her? We have some ideas already (Paul's writings, some verses, videos on this channel and others).

@@oliverc1293 Former Adventist Fellowship has a KZfaq channel and a weekly podcast. Redeemer Fellowship is a church with a KZfaq channel and it is an Evangelical church with a lot of former SDAs. The pastor is Gary Inrig, one of the best teaching pastors I know and he is very familiar with Adventism. And Rods channel here is very good. Torahism is basically conservative Adventism taken to extremes.

My dear, if we could keep God's commandments, then why would Jesus need to come and die for our transgressions? Yes, you may think you are doing well, compared to others, because you follow rules. But do you follow *all* the Torah laws? Are you separating during menstruation? Do you keep kosher? And even if you would be able to follow all Torah laws without stumbling, Jesus goes on to talk about our *secret sins* , our *thought life* and *our desires* . Can you really honestly say that you are blameless in your thoughtlife as well? Never lusting, never envying, never getting angry? Again, if you boast in "keeping the commandments", then why did Jesus have to die for us?

What is sad is the Judiazers and Legalist ruin the old testament for people. When you study God's Holy word with prayer and rightly dividing the Word of truth the Old testament is beautifully amazing and points and confirms every prophecy fulfilled about Jesus Christ in the new testament. I love reading both Old and New testaments and they both weave together how amazing and faithful our God is. The n t is not a time zone, it is a bunch of writings about how the messiah came and fulfilled the promise of G-D to provide salvation. I too am a part of the community that Kathryn spoke of in this video. And I think my sister T very eloquently presented what our group lives by and believes... faith through Messiah AND obedience (because of our Messiah's free gift of grace) (Rev 12:17). I will let T speak for herself but my response to your question would be it doesn't matter what I think or believe, it only matters what does Scripture say. Our foundation should always be, "It is written." That is how our Messiah answered and that should be our answer. It is not in our authority to judge anyone. We are only called to know them by their fruit, that will tell us what tree they are rooted in. And this simply helps us better discern who we allow to be the iron that sharpens us in our faith. Thank you for giving us a chance to clarify our beliefs.

@@TheBiblicalRoots Thank you for your gracious response. I would refer you to scripture where in Philippians 2:12 we are told to walk out our salvation with fear and trembling. I don't determine or define what sin is, He does. My thoughts on your question is to approach it like a little child: I trust Him. He tells me what to do and I obey. I sometimes argue, disregard his wise instruction, or don't understand why He has told me to do something so delay my response, but again, I trust Him. When I fall short, I ask forgiveness and turn back toward Him. When I don't understand Him, I ask Him, I read His instruction, and ultimately (hopefully) decide that walking as He has instructed me brings glory to Him and life to me. I feel like most things draw me near to Him OR away from Him. I don't believe there is a lot of neutrality when it comes to the things of God. He seems to present things as one way or the other-You're either for me or against me; life or death, blessing or curse, etc. and in a world that has offered us all shades of gray, it makes sense that His pattern would be different, and more distinct. His ways are intended to keep me on the narrow path and are good for me. For me, if I know He has commanded something, I want to obey it. I trust Him to work out all the details in the end, but I know this is what I am called to, and I believe this describes the process of sanctification. So I think we must define sin and you can only do that by seeing what scripture says sin is, What is disobedience? Again, I go back to scripture and if He says to do something that I am capable of doing, then I want to do it. If a health guru tells someone not to eat pork, no one questions it, but if God does and you choose to obey, you're called legalistic. How about instead, I approach it from the perspective of I just have a feeling He knows more about it than I do, so I'm going to defer to Him, even if it doesn't seem to make sense. Is it a salvation issue? No, I don't believe so. But your question can then potentially spiral into a multitude of other questions, because bestiality and a host of other sins are only mentioned in the Old Testament, so are they then permissible? This is obviously hyperbole, but I don't think we get to cherry pick what commands we agree with. It's like my analogy in my first response-we don't shoot the arrow and then paint the bullseye to match our perspective. I honestly don't think about whether other people are sinning or not, but instead focus my attention on my own walk. I am only responsible for my response to Him and to His Word. I do have concerns about people being lead astray by the grace abuse you mentioned in your video. It's a real concern. I will rely on the entirety of scripture and will not allow my theology to be shaped by the opinions of men. "If you love me you will keep my commands," is enough for me (though there are countless more expressing the same sentiment). Let us not reject His word, it truly is a firm foundation-the only sure one. Lord help us hear it and obey it. (Matt: 7:24-27)

@@tbishop8462 ​ Well said, T. I don’t think we get to cherry-pick what commands we agree with, either. Obedience is God’s love language, and thus, disobedience is sin. And it’s important to remember that not every command God has given applies to every person at all times. Some of His commands were only given to certain people (ex., Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses) or for certain times (ex., building an ark, gathering manna). We’re each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. And the ceremonial Mosaic commands do not apply to Christians today. (ex. Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required.) “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). I also want to mention that no one can hold a theology that is entirely free from the influence of “the opinions of men.” (Especially if they’re reading an English translation of the Bible since every translation contains the translators’ opinions.) And I would argue that it’s unwise to even try. If we sat alone on a deserted island and decided what we thought Scripture was saying, we would be just as likely to get it wrong as right. Especially if we don’t know the original languages and have no knowledge of the historical or cultural settings in which the books were written. Scripture is intended to be consumed, understood, and interpreted in community with other believers. (Notice in Acts 17 that there was more than one Berean! :-) I agree with you 100% that we are each responsible for digging into the Word and trying to understand it for ourselves. But to flatly reject other people’s opinions as wrong is to turn our back on a great deal of Godly wisdom. I’m not suggesting we roll over and believe everything we hear. We need to be discerning! But we must also be humble enough to acknowledge that God can and does use others to bring valuable insights about His Word. In fact, teaching is a gift of the Holy Spirit. “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Rom 12:3-8) And BTW, interpreting Scripture in community is the best antidote for heresy. Because at some point, someone will stand up and say, “Hey, I’m not sure that’s right.” And then we can all go to Scripture to test it. @@TheBiblicalRoots Yes, a better way to put it would have been that I will reject any doctrine or theology that doesn't align with scripture. I understand that most people probably feel that way as well, but unless as you said, you have the historical context, understand to whom He was speaking, and have understanding of the original language and relevant cultural idioms and norms, then it would be difficult to form a complete view of scripture. I would say by and large, most Christians do not approach scripture with that level of investigation. I think it is so important and people can't rely on others to teach them, but must seek scripture out. We don't live in isolation. I am so thankful I have such a beautiful community of believers to fellowship with inside and outside of our Little Church. I am still in a community of people who don't all believe just as I do. I am in the only one in my family that walks out my faith this way, and yet we have respect for one another. We still attend a local church on Sundays occasionally. My children attend a youth group at that same church, as well as sit with us on Saturdays as we pour over scripture. I do listen to the teaching of others now, but I had years of that and I need to separate what I had been taught versus what is written. And we absolutely dialogue about what text means and ask questions or raise concern or disagreement, but it is done with respect. We are meant for community and I am grateful for all of the lovely people in my life.

Are they following the Torah of Abraham or the amendment Torah given to Moses? As Jesus is the Redeemer but as the NT clearly tells salvation is by following the faith or religion of Abraham, and Moses is set aside.

@@angelwng370 Well that is what my series of videos advises, the law of Abraham, but without all the amendments given to Moses as they have gone to heaven. So if I read you correctly they do not follow the Torah given to Moses only the law of Abraham. Paul goes to great lengths to direct Jews to the faith of Abraham, vaway from Moses in Romans and Galatians.

@@angelwng370 Unfortunately I can only find on Google the Hebrew Israeltes following the amendment to the Torah given to Moses, they do not follow the Torah given to Abraham. The law given to Abraham was available by faith to the Mosaic Jews but they did attain to it. Jesus fulfilled the actual law given to Abraham by faith, and the Mosaic Law has gone into heaven. I would be very interested if you could pass on any reaction to my accusation that they are not following God's law by faith, though the just shall live by faith, only doers of the law are justified.

I am not a member of a Hebrew Roots movement, but I am someone who believes the whole Bible and I choose to pursue a life of obedience because I love God, and as a response to His great love for me. I am so grateful for His lavish, incomprehensible love. I think the danger is when people choose to follow the doctrines of men (whether that is the Talmud, Kabbalah, the doctrines of the Baptists or Methodists or Catholicism and so on), rather than following the Word of God. When I came to see scripture this way I had no outside influence. I didn't want to watch or listen to anyone else until I had a FIRM foundation in the word. I wouldn't even use my study Bible. I said, "God, I want to know you and what you have to say, alone. Please send the Holy Spirit to be my guide and I trusted His word when it said in Jeremiah 31:34 that no longer shall each one teach his neighbor...for they shall all know me..." And He did. There was grief and sorrow over having turned my faith over to the hands of men, some of whom probably never read the entire word (statistically speaking there is a large number of pastors who have not read the entire Bible). I am responsible for reading His word and must not rely on others to interpret it for me, and I can't blame others when I arrive at false conclusions because I haven't done my due diligence and been like the Bereans. I would encourage you to seek out scripture and ask them to tell you where it is written-to whatever claims they are making-and then you offer the same to whatever claims or positions you are supporting. "It is written" should be the standard when seeking truth. But you must read in context (if it's a letter-read the whole letter-remember there were no chapters so often you need to read what came before and follows for clear context), reconcile any apparent discrepancies, allow the Bible to define itself (look for the first time that word in question is used in scripture and study the original language and other uses), determine where allegory and other figurative language is at play or whether scripture is literal...etc. Ask for understanding and clarification before making assumptions and remember they are trying to please the Lord, as are you, so both of you should have a heart of tenderness toward one another as you are aware of this common goal. Why do we need to stay in the shadow now that the real is here. It can only be a slippery slope to lead us back into the legalism of the law. These law keepers were the same men who gave Jesus the most problems during his ministry and their eyes were blinded to the Holy Messiah who walked and performed miracles right in their presence daily. @@TheBiblicalRootsdo you want to know the difference and the appeal of this movement good bad or otherwise. People don’t want to go to a show anymore. They want real relationships and Torah is that. I won’t leave it because yes some people can get caught up in legalism of it just like with ANY church. Just like when someone is a new believer they leave their old friends behind and they are zealous and don’t know how to control it yet… it’s the same concept. But the difference here is people are tired of being preached at and told the same crap. There’s more to know about God. He’s vast like the ocean and people in the Torah movement has a zeal to read Gods word and know him and to live with one another and do life with one another more than just an hour on Sunday in a big church with a smoke machine. And when you leave the church no one ever talks to you again. No thanks I’ll stay here where I’m loved. And people actually take God’s word seriously. And love people and work things out.

Regarding the dangers of the Hebrew Roots/Torah Observant/Messianic movement. Part 2 The Talmud is incorporated into sermons in various ways, and in some cases even the Zohar and Mishnah. To most in the Torah community only the Hebrew names are acceptable to pronounce. Even the word “Church” is to be disregarded for “Synagogue” or “Shul”. Christianity is mocked openly as "churchianity". Even with names there are those who argue over “correct” Hebrew pronunciations, as if a wrong pronunciation would be a sin, and somehow the English language and the letter “J” is demonic in some way. There is no understanding of languages, linguistics and how it develops over time. Many don’t even want to utter the name of Jesus or call themselves Christians. It’s madness. The Torah scroll itself becomes an idol and is elevated above Christ. The focus on Torah makes the followers focused on the flesh and makes them self-righteous. Church going Christians are looked down upon as lawless, which is insanity and untrue. Christians are left to feel as if they could never be good enough, or worse yet, that they will be least in the Kingdom of Heaven, or not there at all. Is it then any surprise when some Christians react to the Torah community in an antagonistic way? No, not at all, because Christianity which has stood for two millennia is under attack from all corners of life, including from within. To all the non-Jews within the Messianic community, you will always be looked upon as Goyim by the Jews, as they don’t agree with being grafted in alongside Gentiles. In their minds, only they remain the elect. Torah observance/Hebrew Roots/Messianic, or whatever name they identify with is always speaking about aiming for the target, yet they are completely missing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask yourselves, what is seriously wrong with a movement who starts out with what I believe are pure intentions to love God and serve Him because of love for Him, yet how many get to the point of rejecting Paul’s writings, the Biblical Trinity and deity of Jesus Christ, or abandon Him altogether? There is too much error to turn a blind eye anymore. One example of absolute heresy is the notion that Christians would still be obligated to offer sacrifices if there was a temple in Jerusalem. Really? That is the ultimate denial of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and how we are bought by His precious blood once and for all. In other words, many within the TO/HRM/Messianic movements would offer sacrifices to a false “god” for the sake of Torah and therefore denying Jesus Christ. It’s no wonder that God allowed the Temple to be destroyed in 70 A.D. Christians do uphold the Law, the Law of Christ, under a new covenant sealed by His spotless blood and given to us freely by His grace and His sacrifice for all, and every born-again Christian will attest to that. There is a change in everything they do, that can only be inspired by the Holy Spirit. It’s a Law written on our hearts to do that which is good and pure, not because we’re told so, but we are led by God’s Holy Spirit which indwells us as His temple, and according to His Word and the new covenant in Jesus Christ. Those in Hebrew Roots saying that "Jesus is the living Torah" is a false statement and it is not found in the Bible. The false belief that Jesus is the living Torah (law of Moses) starts with the deliberate interchanging and misunderstanding of words found in John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” When Hebrew Roots replace the “Word” with “Torah” they diminish the deity of Jesus, elevate Torah’s position, and completely deny the Biblical Trinity, along with changing John’s statement at the start of his Gospel. “Word” and “Torah” are two completely different concepts and bear no resembling meaning when applied in the correct context. It’s just one of a multitude of examples of how the Bible text is mishandled by HR to substantiate their beliefs, rather than reading and understanding the text as it was written and meant to be understood. It’s reckless abandonment of common sense that ignores exegesis and hermeneutics. John substantiates the fact in his epistle that Jesus is the Living Word (Word of life) who existed from the beginning. 1 John 1:1-5 “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life- the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us- that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.” Now if one is to again replace “Word” with “Torah” then one comes up with a distortion of Scripture. There are numerous statements that just get repeated by HR, one being “Jesus is the living Torah” that become part of their belief system without any Scriptural evidence or reference. If it gets repeated enough or taught enough, then it must be true is the attitude within HR. Torah itself becomes an idol that rejects the finished work on the cross by Jesus Christ. I was also deceived to believe this lie before God humbled and delivered me. Jesus is greater than the law of Moses and His Law is written on our hearts and not on stone. How many sins that come from the heart are not mentioned in the Torah that Christians follow devotionally? The Law of Christ convicts us, and we know what sin is without it being delivered to us. We know it when we see it. We are in the new and better covenant. Jesus came to fulfil the Law and to institute a new Covenant. It's becoming more evident that the Hebrew Roots/Torah Observant movements have much in common with heretical cults such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, and Mormons. There is a lack of love and a prideful belief of exceptionalism, falsely believing that they are the end times elect, when in fact it’s a dangerous cult that misleads, deceives and corrupts. That is alarming. In summary, Jesus is not the Torah/Law. Jesus is God, who manifested in the flesh to save us. The God we serve existed before anything that was created. The Bible is clear about the Trinity. There are three distinct persons. The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. Together they are the one true living God.

This is so important as Christianity is divorced from its roots, but everyone has the roots in Moses, but the Torah was given to Abraham. When Hebrew Roots point at the disconnect of the Christianity from the Torah they make a good point, and when Christians point out that it is legalism following the Torah given to Moses they make a good point, but the truth is the Torah of Abraham is the same as Jesus and must be followed for salvation.

Right. It is heart and life changing! Literally pouring over the scriptures and being Bereans has been my fellowship's experience in this faith journey. Reading the word. Believing the word. Reconciling any apparent discrepancies and holding up what I've been told and taught by man in light of scripture and casting out that which does not align with the entirety of scripture. Is there error in that? I would never claim to be Torah observant, but you can believe I will pursue obedience.

@Sonia You literally cannot do this without the Levitical Priesthood as per the Bible. You would be breaking Torah if you took these matters into your own non-Levitical Priest hands.

I think they both stated that every group in the movement is different and may or may not share her same experiences.

The fact that there is division within Torahism whether you want to call yourself Torah Observant Messianic, Hebrew roots or sacred namers shows that this movement is on shaky ground. You have one sect that reject Paul, another reject Jesus as God thus the Trinity by extention and some Reject the entire New Testament. You are not even United on the interpretation of the Torah. The only thing that unite Torahism is their contempt for Christianity.

Coming out of this movement and trying to find a community of believers is challenging. I think we all love God , and are doing our level best-in our current understandings, and we should be loving and patient with one another. 🙏❤️

Joshua melton, it appears like you deleted your post in response to what I posted, but to respond to your post that Marcion was rightfully condemned by the church as a heretic, your statement is correct. Remember that he removed the God of Israel and replaced him with Yeshua, saying he was another God. Let me first make this clear: I do believe that true Gentile believers are saved, and I have no problem calling them my brothers in Yeshua, but there are some distorted teachings that have been taught in the Christian church, and I will give you two that appear to reflect Marcion: Christians address Yeshua as God when he is the Son of God; Marcion stated Christ is another god; The Christian church rarely addresses the God of Israel or the God of Abraham, Isaiah, and Jacob; all they do is address Yeshua as God; Macion has removed the God of Israel and replaced him with Yeshua. Think about what I am saying. Under no circumstances am I denying the deity of Yeshua; I am just putting things in their right perspective according to the Scriptures.

But you need to remember that Rome wanted nothing to do with the Jews. They removed God's law and made sure that they separated themselves from the Jews, and they succeeded by removing the Sabbath. What you outlined as your experience is how the Lord instructed me to walk in His ways-once I sought out scripture in a way I never had before, and separated what I had always been taught by man vs. what His word actually said, then I was held accountable for what HE lays out in scripture and I can't ignore it. I will live it out and give an account, and I trust the same holy spirit that removed the veil from eyes, will do the same for others as He wills, and it is not my place to tell anyone they have to do anything because that is between them and the Lord. The scriptures you reference are good witnesses, but there are even many, many more if people would take it upon themselves to read His whole word for themselves. Never have I been more certain of the continuity of God's character, more certain of his redeeming love, and the truth and harmony of His word than I am now. I used to have a mental wall between the Old Testament and the New, but you CANNOT understand the New Testament without a deep, full understanding of the Old Testament. It is faith then obedience and always has been (were the Israelites not saved and then later given the law? Did Moses not believe and then build the ark...this pattern {faith>>>obedience} is there from beginning to end), and obedience to our Father's commands, not some religious traditions of man-whether they look "Jewish" or "Christian"-but rather do they look "Godish?" I want to be about the Father's business, not the doctrines of {insert any Christian denomination.} This is what Paul spoke out against-legalism, which highlights the incorrect heart posture of obeying "for" salvation, as opposed to obeying, because you are undone by the lavish love of our Father and our Messiah. He never speaks against the Torah (instruction) of God. Rather he affirms as Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:26-27 state, that this new covenant is not WHAT is written, but WHERE it's written and that we will be given a spirit of obedience SO THAT we will walk in obedience to HIS ways (not manmade religion.) If people would seek out scripture to see what he calls us to. In this journey there have certainly been questions to wrestle with as I have had to untangle His truth from what I have held onto as truth, which when examined in the light of scripture, didn't add up. But the questions themselves are not red flags-it's where you go to seek out truth and what defines truth (His word is truth-John 17:17, Psalm 119:160), that can be the red flag if and when it is anything other than His word. It makes sense that a good king would not leave you grasping for straws and allow chaos to flourish in a kingdom with no clear directives. For example, love as a mandate, if not defined by Him, can lead to dangerous places, and it isn't what you or I say it means, it's what He says it means. He defines love for Him as obedience, and if He commands you to love others (which He does) then of course loving others is obeying (and loving) Him. His commands are holy, just, and good (Romans 7:12), everlasting (Matt. 5:17, Psalm 119:89-176) , to be written on our hearts and put in our minds (Hebrews 10:28-29, Jer. 31, Ezek 36), are righteousness (Psalm 119:172), bring blessing (119:1), give those who obey access to the tree of life (Rev. 22:14) and just in Psalm 19 today I was reading and was reminded also that his law (is): Perfect trustworthy right brings joy to the heart clear give insight to life true fair more desirable than gold sweeter than honey a warning to those that hear them there is great reward for obeying them One Psalm told me all that, and there are many verses that serve as witnesses affirming all of this and more. We are not justified by the law, but we are sanctified by it. Why wouldn't we want to walk in what He has commanded us when He so mercifully, and lovingly poured out His life for us? I trust Him and I will obey because He loves me and I want to love Him well. I am currently experiencing a similar persecution that you describe, as are some close to me. We are being ridiculed and some in our fellowship have even been ostracized because of their commitment to walk out their faith in obedience to God's commandments. My friends didn't close any doors to relationships because of their differences; they didn't demand their friends believe this way; they didn't tell them they were going to hell because they celebrate Christmas or don't observe the Sabbath, but those who ridicule them have chosen to separate themselves, because when my friends are asked about their faith, they are then seen as judgmental for simply daring to say they think we should follow God's commands. It's a real head scratcher that the persecution would come from inside the body, rather than from those outside. Why would anyone defend lawlessness. My charge to anyone would be to seek out scriptures for yourself. Turn off the commentaries. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you and be a Berean and seek answers in the Word of God alone, and make no apologies for obeying what is says. Live for an audience of one - a worker who has no need to be ashamed (2 Tim. 2:15). As one of my sons said, "If God says to do it (or don't do it), why wouldn't we?" I agree son, I agree.

My dear, if we could keep God's commandments, then why would Jesus need to come and die for our transgressions? Yes, you may think you are doing well, compared to others, because you follow rules. But do you follow *all* the Torah laws? Are you separating during menstruation? Do you keep kosher? And even if you would be able to follow all Torah laws without stumbling, Jesus goes on to talk about our *secret sins* , our *thought life* and *our desires* . Can you really honestly say that you are blameless in your thoughtlife as well? Never lusting, never envying, never getting angry? Again, if you boast in "keeping the commandments", then why did Jesus have to die for us?

The Hebrew Israelites are mostly Black. Both are Fake Hebrews

I can tell you as I am a Black American and had encounters with them in the past in person and online. Hebrews Israelites movement originated in the United States. It's core belief is African Americans of Slave Descendants are the original and true Israelites of the bible. They have many different sects. You have your Tanakh only Hebrews Israelites which is similar Orthodox Judism. The one that is more well known is the 1West variety of Hebrew Israelism. These are the people that you will see on the street corners with the 12 tribes charts and talking about how they will enslave the rest of the nations when Jesus returns.

Very sad that you went to the wrong church and didn't just realize you had to know and read the Bible for yourself. I didn't need a church to tell me to read the old and new testament after I was saved. I literally desired the sincere milk of the Word of God and I couldn't put it down! We don't need no false torah movement to teach us the scriptures. 1 Peter 2:2-3 kjv 2. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
