Kathy is so verbally honest that fake nice people are appalled. Her warmth and self deprecation are a mark of how genuine she is.

The thing that’s most impressive about Kathy as a comic is that she literally can come up with an hour of comedy on the spot. Most comedians have to work for months if not years to come up with an hour show. Kathy is just NATURALLY funny and can have hours worth of content easily

It was either Kathy or Joan Rivers who said this the best "If you're making millions of dollars a film, music or a talk show, you should be able to take a joke." I like Ellen, but being Ms. Goodie to Shoes 24/7 is annoying. Comedians like Kathy Griffin, Joan Rivers, Richard Pryor, Sam Kinison, George Lopez is my type of comedy.

Kathy Griffin has been banned from the Ellen show because Ellen considers Kathy too mean spirited. That seems very hypocritical when Ellen basically said that Liza Minelli looked like a "drag queen" at the 2014 Oscar Show. She not only said it to her face ("bad manners" according to Kathy) but in front of billions of péople watching worldwide. Kathy has always treated Liza with the deference which an icon deserves, except if she does something stupid by marrying two obviously gay husbands, Peter Allen and David Gest. Even Liza admitedly that was dumb on the Larry King Show.

I really like what kathy said here about how she doesn't make fun of anything that isn't out of a person's control.. just the ridiculous behaviors that celebrities have and the choices they make. I love Ellen and I guess I'm surprised that she wouldn't comedically be able to be more understanding about that. Also, considering ellen made fun of Liza at the oscars for her personal appearance.. I mean that was "mean spirited" and a low blow. Hopefully this ban has been lifted or fences mended by now.

Kathy’s jokes might be mean spirited, but at least it shows honesty. Ellen is two faced and would rather be a monster behind the scenes so her ego is protected. I always liked both of them, but as I am older I see through Ellen and Kathy seems pretty straight forward.

@@rgrndu That was half of one tour because of triggered idiots death threats at her remaining dates, then after her ridiculous "travel ban" was lifted a couple months later, she booked another 23 cities internationally, sold many of those cities out and all in all grossed another 1.1 million dollars, so she has no problem succeeding as a standup.

It’s disgusting and no matter how much you hate someone, you don’t depict their slaughtering. It’s disgusting when Kathy did it, still disgusting when Kanye did it. Kathy with her stupid ignorance didn’t think of all those mothers who actually saw similar pictures with their son’s actual heads on it! It’s not art, it’s disgusting from Kathy do agree for that. After saw her show and it was nothing just a pity party , hated it so much I wish I would have gotten my money back. I still enjoy her old stuff , but noting since.

I love Ellen, and I love Kathy. They’re both very intelligent and talented women. I think they both have so much to offer the world, and comedy needs them both. Their styles are very different, but there’s no reason they can’t exist alongside each other.

........you can tell that Kathy is genuinely happy to be on Ellen`s show, and as interview is progressing, Ellen seems to be more and more condescending towards Kathy.....Kathy handled herself (and Ellen) masterfully....ironically, Ellen is still that little kid that wants to be part of Kathy`s family.....

How many times in this interview did Ellen make s point of saying she's not mean? Number one, its a passive/aggressive way of making herself sound like she's a better person than Kathy. And number two, we now know all about how nasty she is and how toxic it was for the people stuck working for her. She's a phony, Kathy is authentic.
