In this video, we’ll show you how to install a starter on your Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT. This job requires digging down to the starter, which means the removal of the clutch. John will show you how to remove the clutch on your Mule, get the ductwork removed, and then remove the starter.
Then, he’ll show you how to prep a new starter for installation, and then replace the starter on your Kawasaki Mule and get everything put back together again.

Hey John, I used to wrench at a multi-line dealership and Kawasaki was one of our flagships. I did a TON of warranty work. Well, I found a cheat-code to replacing the starter. I can have it replaced in 10-12 min from start to finish. Let me know if you’re interested in the procedure!! 👍🏻👍🏻

How long will it take to replace starter? Also plan to replace belt at the same time.

Having a no start issue after the vehicle (atv, car, pickup, bulldozer, motorcyle etc) warmed up and telling people to replace the starter because of this is bad advice . I had this exact problem on a older Kawasaki Mule and after just a little troubleshooting found the battery cables needed cleaning , cleaned the cables problem solved .

I have a 2022 kawasaki mule pro fxt. I hearr a weird noise that sounds like the bendix on fly wheel. I have removed clutch, belt and bell housing. You can see the starter still mounted on engine.when starting you can see the bendix hooking on flywheel but it makes a weird noise and it turns the fly wheel really slow but there is no sound from the Solenoid to swing engine.Not sure if it's the starter but battery has 12 volts. Has anyone encountered this problem? The sad thing is I'm all the way in the Caribbean and don't want to order the wrong part before diagnosing the problem.
