Thank you so much. This is GREAT. I’ve been living with an intermittently bad starter on a 2015 Pro FXT for a couple of years now, postponing its replacement due to dealership costs. Then 2 days ago, my belt finally went. Watching your video shows that this job is far less technical than the quoted labor costs insinuate. The shop quoted $300 labor for the belt, and $800 labor for the starter. $1100 labor total, not including parts. And no, they weren’t willing to combine labor, even though the belt is part of the starter procedure.

@@LazyDWorx Even more so, your way of simplifying the replacement of both of the parts somehow instilled the confidence I needed to get in there and finally do it. Somehow I had convinced myself that the starter was somehow mysteriously buried within the motor itself, lol.

Nice job, they don't call them stealerships for nothing, I bought a new truck a few years ago ran across a video on the tube where stealerships would do things to your vehicle to cause you to have to come back for warranty issues, I ran across it again on a forum where folks went in for their free oil change something would go wrong that wasn't a problem before, so they can charge the company warranty charges, free oil changes and inspection are a Stealership Scam. I've always changed my on oil have not had a problem one with this truck like these other folks, I stay away from the dealer free scam crap.

@@waydwnbama-way3089 So many poor service experiences form dealers. At the end of the day no one is going to take better care of your machine than you. I feel like most people are pretty handy once they have the right information to help get the job done.
