Chiefs never allowed more than 28 points in any games this season, 21 games. 4 other teams never allowed 28 points in a game in one season but did it in 19 games.

Not sure if anyone has brought up this fact since SB 58 concluded, but Andy Reid was the losing coach when the previous repeat champion was crowned. So he has been on both sides of the accomplishment.

KC never lost sight of the object even when the chips were down. They got burned with a TD but still found the effort to block the extra point. The underlying relentless gestalt to find the win is like pressurized water, it always finds the leak.

I personally thought the game was boring. I was relatively neutral as there were times where I rooted for the 49ers and Chiefs. I do not like San Francisco as a city, but I do like Jake Moody and Brock Purdy. It would have been nice if they got a ring. I also liked that Mahomes won another Super Bowl because he is one step closer to beating Brady.

It was niners losing this game. But not by much. They played well. But in the clutch they didn't do enough. And the lucky bounce in the punt was the absolute tide changer.

Kay, need your help getting an answer. Why didn't the Chiefs call a time-out with 1st & Goal with 2 time-outs to use. They let the clock go down for only one shot for a TD. WHY? I don't get the strategy or lack of strategy for this. No one is addressing the "What If" they didn't make the TD.

Both teams are guaranteed a possession, Clock doesn't matter. If the clock hit zero they switch endzones and keep going until they score or the 9ers stop them. If the score is tied, they kick the ball back to the 9ers and it's now sudden death (next to score wins).

I just came across this,just a fan,the qtr woulda just ended but woulda been like when the first qtr ends,just roll over to the second qtr,basically in OT it was the start of a new game,so OT was like a FIRST qtr.

Both. Niners weren’t crisp on offense and play calling was suspect and it left the door open. You give Mahomes a chance and he’s going to walk through the door. Giving up 19 points in regulation and the only TD being after the miffed punt should have been enough for the Niners offense to win, but Kyle yet again under performs and loses.

Steve Young says the Super Bowl Champs will be shuffled around between 4 or 5 QBs over the next decade and Burrow is 5 - 1 against Mahomes and Allen so stay tuned...

Burrow also has a losing record against Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson. Burrow is 1 and 1 against Mahomes in the playoffs, that's all that matters.

And you would have lost the Superbowl. It's a good thing you aren't Andy Reid. You also know nothing about Reid and Kelce's Relationship. People seem to forget Reid Hip Checking Kelce in the Raiders game and almost knocking him over.

analytics are not always right...i mean it does show some nice "probability" but at the end it all comes to the individual effort, Cant be hugging or relying 100% on what analytics are saying all the time. It should be something like questioning that analysis.

For anyone who hasn't gotten the memo as of yet, the youngest team in the NFL will own the Super Bowl for the foreseeable future. That's right, the 13-Time World Champion Green Bay Packers are about to flip the table over on the NFL. In the process, the window of opportunity will slam shut on feckless NFC teams such as the Eagles, Niners and Cowboys. Green Bay is the only team to have won three consecutive NFL Championships and they did it two times: 1929, 1930, & 1931 and 1965 (pre-Super Bowl), 1966 (Super Bowl I), & 1967 (Super Bowl II). Next year, Quarterback Jordan Love will begin his legacy of returning the Lombardi Trophy to Lambeau Field where Coach Vince Lombardi won 5 NFL Championships and the first two Super Bowls in 7 years.
