Rockfish and lings on a kayak, so fun. You should really consider getting a fish grip lol, can help a lot with those toothy fish.

Our favorite fish to catch and eat! I had a pair of grips at the start of our trip, but they ended up going overboard with a Ling never to be seen again, they were black so it would have been impossible to see them floating, new pair is white so hopefully that doesn't happen again! Fishing the west side of George Fraser 3/4 way out tight to the rocks, can be extremely productive with huge lings. 😊

If you look how big the bellies were on all your catches it’s safe to say tide/moon phase had little to no effect on eating habits.

Made no difference, actually after this day I think I'm only going to fish after full moons lol
