Damn, flathead really don't stand a chance when Nev is on the water. As an aside, thanks to your weekly inspiration, I have finally managed to yet a yak myself (Stealth BFS, cause I'm a big fella) was hoping to be out after squid today, but the wind said no, part of the game I reckon. It's amazing what fish you get . You are truly talented. I'm amazed that the big flathead are still around this time of the year. I've been fishing Tuross heads for a week now and there has been no big flathead caught nor many either.... Well done

Victoria is a long way from Tuross Heads, maybe there are different conditions prevailing and even different flatty species.

Tuross is thrashed!.... I've been fishing it since the late 90s and its in bad shape getting worse every year. There are 10 + boats lure fishing for flathead daily all year round not to mention the yak attack....back in the day it was unbelievable for flathead nowa days much tougher....lots of of little fish though.

Love the videos nev. what swivels do you use for the hardbodies I got through heaps of lead having to retie and those ones are really thin. I don’t get many flathead where I live and they’re not big but I have managed to get 35-40 this year

Clearly Vic has a different coloured sky to the rest of the country. Oh the sky is blue because blue wavelengths are the least absorbed by the surrounding air or water molecules. Blue is the last colour you’ll see as you dive down through the water column too. 😂
